All of a sudden my Charge 6 (relatively new) stopped tracking sleep so I am no longer getting a sleep score.
I tried the reset to no avail. Any suggestions?

Hello @demimilton
Since you're not seeing heart rate or sleep data, it sounds like your heart rate sensor might be off or not working.
Do you see a green light on the back of your Charge 6? That's the heart rate sensor. You can check by placing your finger across the back of the device. You should see the green light when you lift your finger.
If you don't see a green light, check the Settings menu on the Charge 6 and confirm that Heart Rate is turned on.

My Charge 6 is fitted comfortably firm, 75%+ charged and has started to completely miss several nights sleep.
i have now discovered that sleep mode is OFF. I haven’t turned this off, and no one has had access to it. Is there something wrong with the software/hardware?

For the last several months my Charge 6 only tracks my sleep sporadically….I had a Charge 5 for years and never had any issues with it tracking my sleep. I’ve done a soft reset….it doesn’t help. It seemed to happen when Google got involved. With so many user complaints I don’t understand why it’s taking so long for them to fix the problem. Guess it’s time to upgrade my Apple watch to a 10, which tracks sleep and apnea.

Same issue here. suddenly I have 3 nights with no sleep tracked. I had Charge 5 for year and a half and never experienced such issue. Not even once.

I am running in to this problem as well.
Your answer does not actually answer or help with the concern. The specific issue is the fitbit use to track your sleep each night automatically, in fact that's the only way to get the super in detail information (this includes showing things like REM sleep etc.) But now you either have to try and guess what time in and manually enter it or have been proactive and go on to the app to remembered to hit "start sleep".
Entering of the time manually still limits the information provided, we get is "awake, restless and asleep" not the detailed information that was promised as a feature and a huge reason many people were interested in the fitbit and paying for the app.
It has been almost a complete waste of money to have the subscription. If the auto logging and detailed break down of sleep feature does not work it affects several other metrics like your night time SpO2 and breathing rate plus more, you just get no results.
I have done everything possible to get this to work properly and to auto log sleep and since its not working i have been trying my best to manually to enter my sleep but if you get a few days behind it becomes impossible. If I do press the "Start Sleep" button I end up forgetting to stop it haha then it says I slept for 70 hours.
I understand we have options to enter our sleep but this option should still be working and available.
Do you know how to correct this issue? Even after re-adding, updating software reinstalling the app and all that it is still not working like it was before. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hello @LexiiLexLexii
As you noted, the way to get the detailed sleep data, including sleep stages, is to set a sleep schedule and allow your Fitbit to automatically detect when you fall asleep and when you wake up. When you manually start & stop your sleep, that will result in only the basic sleep chart.
Do you get good heart rate tracking? I ask because some users have very hairy areas or tattoos or scars where the Fitbit sits. This affects how well the device's heart rate sensor works. The heart rate sensor is needed for sleep tracking.
Some users are able to get their sleep data when they wear their Fitbits on the inside of their wrist. This might be an option to try.

No no no no no, all wrong.
WE haven't changed anything about us, we're not sleeping different, we didn't get tattoos or grow hair where we didn't have before.
The issue here is that the Fitbit NO LONGER tracks sleep, when it did before.
Had the same problem with the Charge 5 and now with the Charge 6.
When I first got the Charge 5 it would track our sleep without issue, for me that's over a year of tracking without issue. Then it started to not do that. I did the reset, the updates, nothing worked.
It would still periodically track sleep, and do it accurately, which means the sensors are ok.
I ended up getting the Charge 6 and giving my Charge 5 to my wife who doesn't care about sleep tracking.
Now this Charge 6 is doing the same thing as the 5, it will periodically track sleep, and seems to be accurate, but then it will stop for no reason.
Fully charged, updated etc.
We've all tried all the suggestions like wearing it on front or back of wrist, changing wrists etc.
There's so many apologists out there suggesting user error here, but it's clear it's not that.

The authors of the previous posts have a point: its not like we did something wrong here, the Charger 6 (in my case) stopped tracking sleep ABRUPTLY one day after a long good run without changing anything (routine, skin colour, habits) on my part.
This issue needs to be taken serious and addressed promply. It was the first time for me so I still have hope. If it starts tracking sleep "sporadically" I am returning it.
p.s. the thing that fixed it for me was complete reset of Charge 6 and (with some difficulty as it had trouble syncing) re-pairing it again.

I wish it was as simple as resetting the device, done that so many times on both units.

My Charge 6 stopped tracking sleep as well, oddly enough on my last birthday. I had it for just over 4 weeks. I'd had a Charge 5 for over a year and a half and that tracked sleep fine. The Charge 6 was working perfectly for a month. Now, absolutely nothing. It's extremely frustrating, and, as pointed out, deserves an explanation and probably warrants the company looking into this. There seems to be an epidemic of Charge 5's and 6's that just stop tracking sleep effectively within months of purchase. Someone at FitBit better be doing something.

I’m in the same situation. Brand new device. Tracked ok for a night then just stopped. I have to log the sleep manually. Not sure what to do. Seems like a software issue.

Hello @James_GC
Please let us know what you're seeing in your sleep log so we have an understanding of the issues you're experiencing.
My apologies if you've already reviewed the information and recommended troubleshooting on this page: How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit (<-- click link).
Are you seeing the green light on the back of your Charge 6? That's the heart rate sensor and it's needed for sleep tracking. If you don't see the green light, check the Settings tile and make sure Heart rate is turned on:

I'm also experiencing this. Green light on, heart rate on (it still records my heart rate all night), not recognising sleep, no sleep log at all.
