My three month old Charge 6 has stopped taking a charge. Contacts for device and cable are clean and undamaged.

Hi, @Peterdouglas , sometimes a Fitbit seems not to be charging when (for whatever reason) it has become unresponsive instead. In this case I would give it a couple of hours charge using a plug and socket known to be working. When it has been on the charger for a good two hours - even if it doesn’t seem to be charging - give it a restart . You may have to try the restart a couple of times but hopefully it will spring back into life and all will be well.
If after a couple of hours charging and several restart attempts the Fitbit is still dead then I would recommend getting in touch with Fitbit Customer Support on Contact.fitbit.com . Be sure to tell them the trouble shooting steps you have already tried.

Hi, @Peterdouglas , I am super glad that that solved your problem. In that case it would be great if you could mark my post as a “best answer”. It will help other users searching for the same issue, and also apparently will make Google like me better 😄.

Just received a Charge 6 as a gift. It won't charge. Only got to 37% and quit. Tried everything. Too difficult to work with. Returning it.

A warm welcome to the forums @Vv77.
Thank you for letting us know the difficulty that you are experiencing with the device.
May I know if you followed the advice given by @Julia_G above?
Before returning the device, I'd suggest you take a look at the points listed in this help article: Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?
Please, confirm that you have tried to restart the device as indicated here:
- Connect your device to the charging cable. For instructions, refer to How do I charge my Fitbit device?
- Press the button located on the flat end of the charger 3 times, pausing for 1 second between presses. Then wait 10 seconds or until the Fitbit logo appears.

Shouldnt have to go through steps to charge a device. The device will not restart, nor will it charge. Unusable. Disappointed. Returning device.
