Charge 6 won’t sync

My charge 6 does not sync automatically and will hardly sync manually.  It often goes half way and stops.  This is a new problem.  It worked until about a week ago.  The “push the button 3 times” restart does not work either.

Thanks for the response. I am really frustrated with this new watch and
with support. I haven’t figured out how to do what they’ve suggested.
Will try again when I have more time to troubleshoot.

Is this a problem with the Charge 6?  I just got mine a few weeks ago and am having the same issue. My Charge 5 didn’t have an issue syncing. Can you post the recommended solutions here?

I have the same problem. Just bought this Fitbit and am regretting it- it does not auto sync and a manual sync stops halfway. I’ve restarted several times, it worked once and now is not working at all. Fitbit, is there a bug in the software?

Best Answer

Same with mine, bought it a week ago and besides in not tracking Sp02, barely tracking my sleep, adding 5-10 steps everytime I raise my hand now it won't sync and keep restarting everytime I try to sync from the app. Not to mention it went from 50% battery an hour ago to 19%, then 13%, then 16^ in between restarting itself.

An extremely disappointing first experience with Fitbit as a brand...

I bought Charge 6 a few days ago. I had the similar experience. It synchronised extremely slow and took a lot efforts. It must be something wrong, I hope the Fitbit support team can fix this frustrated problem quickly!

So, here is my current “work around”.  Watch rarely syncs automatically, and manuals sync is very slow and often seems to time out.  I am syncing it manually first thing in the morning and multiple times daily.  Restarting my iPhone 13 seemed to help a little also.  Customer service suggestions did not work.

I have exactly the same issue, have to force quit on fitbit app to get it to sync. Very frustrating 😕

Yep same issue and then when it finally does get an error to say not all aids have been installed. Very frustrating. I have gone ti fitbit many times and they have escalated it further but never had further communication from them.
fitbit sort it out! In this forum looks likes it’s a general problem so stop telling me it’s my phone storage, not install the newest iPhone update, reset my charge 6 and resolve the issue at your end

Yes I agree. Very patronising and makes out as if it’s something on my phone or my charge 6 not the software of Fitbit itself

I’m so angry. I spent all this money on this watch and I can’t even get it to do it’s main functionality.

My Charge 6 also will not sync. Only had it for a couple monthes. I reset my Apple phone and manually from charge 6 settings on watch. What else can I do?

Here is my workaround: manually sync it multiple times during the day,
especially first thing in the morning and last thing at night. It takes a
manual sync to update all data, even when steps look accurate. Yes, this
solution stinks and is not what we paid for. I have not spent much time
with customer service suggestions, which I found hard to execute and
ineffective.

Since I posted the problem I've not had any issues.
I don't bother doing a manual sync and it seems to be syncing automatically.
I have a android phone not sure if this makes any difference

Wonderful! I’m on Apple and my steps are syncing better, but other data
sync is spotty. Manual sync still necessary. Happy to hear Android is
working better!

I ended up deleting the Charge 6 app from my Apple phone. Then
restarting the phone, and then putting a new app. Restarted my Charge 6
also. My Apple phone just had an update. I am not sure it messed up the
sync.

So I have updated the Fitbit app and it did seem better and slightly quicker to sync.
the notifications alert is still not 100% though.

especially in mornings I have to remember to turn sleep mode off then sync watch to phone otherwise notifications doesn’t work.

Had a charge4 for 2.5 yrs no issues, never had to manually sync. I’d open the app and the data was just there. When the strap connector snapped, as was out of warranty, thought I’d upgrade to the charge 6. After waiting over 5 weeks for delivery I’ve had my charge 6 for 4 days and it’s just doesn’t sync - so frustrating.

is there any known fix for this?

I've found since i mentioned the isssue that it syncs automatically so I
let it do its own thing.
