Waiting so badly for fitbit inspire 4 and fitbit charge 7 models.
There is literally no competition for them in the market and the google team should capture the vastly available fitness enthusiast market. Its already due.

@Quantified Fitbit tends to release on a two year cycle and released the Charge 6 in October 2023. I don't expect a Charge 7 until later this year, if there will be one. By that math, we should have seen an Inspire 4 in September 2024. All we can do is wait for an announcement.

No competition? We still can't pause or delete steps by time I drive 12 hours a day and adds 20 thousand steps everyday.. It has option to delete the whole day but I did walk a bit.... I want accuracy and features my whole calorie expenditure is wrong everyday due to this.. This is tonnes that can... I'll be changing when my 6 breaks...

if Google product owners following these communities the Fitbit Charge 6 needs a 7 there are no rectangler thin active user watches on this market like this, it can be on the Google ecosystem, but needs the Fitbit app and form factor. I will not buy a large 41mm+ smart watch to track my steps and jogs. I do not need a map or any other smart apps, as my phone is on my side strapped to my body that does all that form me and much better, form factor is more important than apps and gizmos stuffed into a smart watch, that is for the nerds over at the subreddit pixel watches. thank you for reading my online Ted Talk.

Just curious. Why won’t you buy the charge 6?
I now have a sense, but it is not working properly. I want to buy a charge 6. I do not really use any of the apps on the Sense. I just want a watch for steps and sleep.
Will the charge 6 be good enough for just this?

So you are saying you just want a nice thin watch that is not all fancy. Me too!
I guess I will have to buy the Charge 6. Talked to fitbit and they said Fitbit is busy putting out the new google pixel. So no 7 coming anytime soon.

My charge 5 died shortly after I was forced to switch to my google account on my phone. I blame the bricking on a bad update from the Fitbit team. But even before that, the Google switch had deleted all my history. I was already unhappy, and then my Charge 5 bricked. No amount of lifesaving measures worked. I tried. (this was my 3rd fitbit so a lot of history was lost)
At this point, I've been watching and waiting for a Charge 7. But the whole Google account change and the bricking has permanently turned me off to the Fitbit ecosystem. I suspect Google will not care about abandoned Charge loyalists as they press all Fitbit owners to convert to their watches.
Fitbit may as well recognize that they were bought in order to reduce competition and their epitaph is already written. Several months later and I'm no longer interested in a new Fitbit. Moderators please take note.

@hesterandgreg you might also consider the Inspire 3. It's the most basic Fitbit tracker, but it sounds like it has the features you need. It's smaller than the Charge 6 and can go more than a week between charging the battery.

@hesterandgreg that sounds very annoying. I hope you enjoy your Sense 2. It's a nice watch.

I’ll be excited to see a Charge 7. However, my concern is that the device and its screen will increase in size. The Charge 6 (and all the Charge models) have been the perfect size. All other watches with the same extent of features are too dang big! Just like all the stupid gigantic phones that keep coming out these days. Worst case, I’ll buy another Charge 6.

I agree with you entirely. I wear a round face analogue watch on my left wrist and I think 2 large watches looks stupid. That why I also like the small rectangular form factor of the Charge range.
They do also need to address reliability though, none of my Charges have lasted more than a year, and I reaplced the Charge 5 twice in 24 months!

So, will Charge 6 be the end of the blood line?
