I was about to get a charge 6 when it first came out but i saw a lot of posts about Fitbit products just randomly stop working and people not recommend them. Im planning on buying an Apple Watch but I was thinking whether i should go for a Fitbit and save a bit of money.
Are these bricking issues still a thing? Especially after updating the firmware.

Hello @zeucqu2
One thing to keep in mind is that users will come to these forums when they are having problems. So the posts on the product help forums are already skewed towards reporting Fitbit issues. Users rarely come to the forums to post how happy they are with their devices.
Since you are considering a wearable, you might find the YouTube reviews done by The Quantified Scientist (<-- click link) helpful in your decision making. He does objective testing for many wearable health trackers.
It might be worth giving the Charge 6 a try to see if you're happy with the performance and health tracking. If you don't like it or it doesn't work for your needs, you should be able to return it as long as you're within the return period.

The charge 6 is a great health tracker with a great price/features using the app. A smartwatch can be far more expensive with a larger screen with a few more features but will you make use of them is the big question you need to answer. If your aim is general health then charge 6 shouldn’t disappoint but if your looking for a more all round device a smartwatch would be a better solution.
