Ability To Edit Exercise Start and End time for Android Users

Hi all,

This is a fresh feature suggestion for you to be able to manually edit exercise duration in the mobile app (for example if you forgot to end an exercise) for Android users only. Please note this is released for iOS users whether manually logged exercise or recorded in SmartTrack/exercise mode.

We want to get an accurate idea of how in demand this is for Android users.

Thanks all!

This feature was suggested on another thread (Have the Ability To Edit Manually Logged Exercises), created on November 5, 2014, and it's still missing!

I too need this feature, for the obvious reason, I don't always start or stop my HR2 at the right moment. Apparently IOS users can fix their start and stop times but android and web interface users cannot. I will add to this that Windows 10 app users can edit the exercise. It is about the only thing keeping me from completely tossing my Win 10 laptop for my Chromebook laptop!

Android user here- I can't tell you how many times I forgot to unpause a run for about a quarter mile. I would love to be able to manual edit so I can use my Versa data as a personal exercise log rather than having to make up for errors through outside tracking.

Android user here- I forget to hit Start, Finish, and "Unpause" all the time and would love to go back and edit my run. Not just my manually logged runs, but tracked runs as well. Thanks.

Absolutely a must have. I find the lack of this ability particularly frustrating because oftentimes I'm so busy wrapping up a workout that I don't think about finishing the tracker for several minutes. It's not enough time to bother deleting and manually recording, especially since so much other data is lost, but then I know the day's readout is skewed and consequently the week and month. Am I overthinking? Probably, but I'm just starting and in shooting for a goal I need a fair perspective on what a typical day in pursuit of that goal looks like.

Just curious: Are Android users the red-headed step-children because we didn't donate our money to the evil Apple empire? Where's my light sabre?

Keeping Pace

I often forget to stop my watch at the end of a ride. The ability to manually edit the stop time is very much needed. Very frustrating to not be able to change this after the fact.

I posted this in another thread, but if it gets Fitbit off their arses...

I haven't commented on anything in all the time I've been a Fitbit user, but this is ridiculous. 4 YEARS AFTER THE FIRST REQUEST and they helped iOS users and just forgot Android users? Unacceptable. This should not take this long to resolve. Make the changes in the app and BE DONE WITH IT! Eh, I feel like this is just a waste of time. I'm off to check Garmin reviews and to see if this is an issue there. Good luck, all!

Very much required. We used to be able to do this, then you removed, now you've added back for IOS only. Not fair it's not available for Android. Must have feature for Android PLEASE!!

I do this all the time. This morning I forgot to turn off my tracker for 15 minutes after I returned home and had to manually calculate average pace for my run to see if I was on track.

Is there also a place where I can vote to be able to edit it from the Fitbit dashboardI am honestly surprised that the dashboard wasn't the first place to make this change.

Adding my name.

Why work on fixing it for just one group of people? Obviously going to cause frustration

YESSSSS! It's now available for iOS, so we should be able to have it too  Please add this feature soon!

Thanks!

Adding my name here.

Is there any intention to do something about this, got here from the original thread, which is dated 2014? should i just go for a different tracker? You are not the only tracker out there and you don't seem to care about Android users? Sort it out Fitbit!

I am an android user and I HATE that I cannot edit an exercise once it's been logged. Add this feature!!!

+1, we need this on android, and on the homepage dashboard.

I need to be able to edit exercises that are tracked--especially swimming.  I don't do just Free style.  I also do breast stroke, as well as kicking only exercises.  And, I swim in different length pools...  Also, I do stationary biking that does not have the ability to link to my watch/  so sometimes I MUST adjust logged distance for it to be accurate and trace distance.  Garmin does this, as does Apple.  It also tracks ave swim time per length (a VERY useful tool for those of us concerned with time).  Please update your apps to reflect this too.

I just got a Charge 2. I forgot to stop an excersize. I went to edit the end time in the app. I didn't see a way to do it in the UI. I searched the web and ended up here.

It's time to prioritize this feature on Android.

Or even just to the webpage, if doing android is to hard ;]

I agree with bynken - if you can't edit exercise on all four platforms
(android, web browser, win 10, ios) the first one that should support
editing is the web browser, because all platforms have access to web
browsing!

So I forget to end my workout and there is no way to correct my bike ride from 3hrs to 20 minutes? What a joke... Not even on the fully featured web dashboard...

Only on Apple or Windows - sigh...

Someone with a decent follower count on <some social media channel> should post a link to this thread and tag <some fitbit execs + the fitbit social media accounts>.

That's a great idea! For once it's too bad I'm a social media recluse.

I don't understand why this has been documented for 4 years now and is still not functional? Because, yes, it is not a new feature suggestion, yes, people use Android phones, and yes, I still forget to hit stop on the exercise timer. I wouldn't bother with the exercise timer at all since it's always wrong, except that none of my steps get counted when I'm pushing a stroller...
