Quick Replies for iOS Devices

When will it be availible to reply with iOS for apple users. I noticed Versa can reply to text but it says only for android. I will never switch to android and the reply to text is the only thing that Fitbit is missing. Apple Watch does all the same plus reply to text and taking calls. Big miss on Fitbits part.

I think they have where you can reply to text messages for iPhones if you have a message coming you can reply to it even you have an iPhone or ask Alexa.

I bought the new versa 2 the other day because I was excited about the ability to respond to text.  Sadly, that feature only applies to Android.  So I am returning the Versa 2, and just using my regular Versa until I can switch to a Apple watch.

It would be amazing if the Versa 2 and Iphone were compatible .

Such a shame

I love my Versa 2 but I miss the ability to use the quick replies from my Apple Watch. You should try to fix this. I feel like Versa is superior in many other ways except this feature

I am in love with my Fitbit Versa 2 and did a lot of comparison shopping between it and an Apple Watch. This product beat it hands down, from the user friendliness, to the display, to the battery life and Alexa! I was also excited for the actual smart watch features of responding to notifications, whereas my last Fitbit was an Alta so there wasn’t any responding at all and simply a scrolling notification. However, I am an iPhone user and found out that notifications responses are not supported due to the operating system. This has been so heartbreaking not being able to use my Versa 2 to its fullest capabilities, especially with Alexa being able to talk to text and have a more detailed message than the quick response. It has torn me apart, contemplating changing my phone to Android (but that wouldn’t be practical, and it would be expensive, especially after purchasing wireless headphones to be able to listen to music). PLEASE make message response available for iPhone users who love Fitbit-an Apple Watch doesn’t measure up to Fitbit especially as a fitness tracker and the price is ridiculous. My Fitbit was a well planned and thought out Christmas gift and I just want to be able to take advantage of all of its features.

I just upgraded my versa for the versa 2. One big selling point was the quick replies. I nowfind out that it can’t be used on the iOS system! Can you please incorporate an update that allows this? This would make it the perfect fitness watch for me. I would even be willing to be a beta tester if necessary!

Hi,

I use the Fitbit Charge 3, and I find all the apps amazing. Though, one thing that would be handy for the Charge 3 is for there to be more apps. I am aware that there is a calendar app being made, but it would be good if there were more apps to select from. For example: an email app, calculator app, compass app or many more. I just think that it would make the Fitbit Charge 3 much better, since it has a great system with so much capability for more apps.

Another feature that would be  Good is quick replies for iOS. The reason I want quick reply for iOS is because android has it and it will be very handy for iOS devices to have it since most people use iOS over android. That is another feature that could make it better.

Thanks,

Aaron

I'm curious as to the logic behind not including quick replies for ios devices. A previous request for it has been denied and closed for further commenting  https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Suggestions/Quick-Replies-for-iOS-Devices/idi-p/2604059/page...  The reason provided by @LizFitbit doesn't appear to be true( posted on 1/17/19) as the option for quick replies has been available since iOS 9.1!

I'm not sure of the exact timeline of ios 9.1, but this article is dated back to October 2015. https://www.idownloadblog.com/2015/10/22/whatsapp-quickreply/ As Apple is currently on iOS 13 and at the time of @LizFitbit post iOS 12 it would seem as though this could be something that fitbit could have implemented a long time ago.

I'm disappointed that my kids bought me the Fitbit versa lite so that I can get notifications while I'm at work and should have been able to reply from what they thought. However, apparently with iPhones you cannot use this feature and I am in a contract with my phone. Sad to see them spend so much money and not be able to use it to it's full capacity.

I also want this feature for Charge 3 and every fitbit with notifications

Hi Fitbit,

Based on the recent concerns using my Fitbit Ionic I have been very satisfied with the responses i have received. My recent case was having a similar dashboard to the Versa and that response happened instantly and i am very comfortable and happy that Fitbit implemented my concerns and made the experience a whole lot better.

The next issue that I hope lots of people agree with is the problem that iPhones are unable to use quick replies for messages. This is a very frustrating issue that I'm sure every other Fitbit user with iPhone experiences (also any other phone that doesn't support it as well). The issue that i experience is that i always have to get my phone out and it would be more helpful if i was able to reply quicker without having access to my phone or if I'm not near my phone. I'm pretty sure this is stressful for those who are unable to use their phone while exercising, being at work, or school (where you may not be able to use your phone), and as previously mentioned far away from your phone. I sincerely hope Fitbit Engineers/Software Developers take this into account as I strongly believe Fitbit is a good company and issues that have been previously addressed are taken into account quite quickly which i am very pleased about. I also believe it is a better fitness watch than Apple Watches because of Fitbit Pay features, primarily how it focuses on Fitness and overall is a better fitness watch than Apple even if Apple Watches are voted #1 in the world. I hope to see these changes take place and look forward to any replies.

Hi Fitbit,

I throughly think it would be a great idea to allow iPhone users the ability to respond to txt messages off their Fitbit. I think it would be a great idea seeing that not all of us have an Android phone. This is the only thing Fitbit needs to be a 10/10 device. I got me Fitbit a couple of days ago and finding out I can’t respond to messages is a a pretty big let down. Please consider making the change.

IOS users have been left in the dust with quick replies it would be great to have them as then you wouldn’t have to go to your phone.

I know apple watches have this feature but I don’t want one because they’re not as accurate for the health aspect and I think it would make FitBit so much more popular if you included quick replies for iOS. I’d love it so much more bc if I’m on a run and stop I’d hate having to keep taking my phone out of the holder on my arm, just much more convenient.
