It's nice to see a new member around @dangolf76I'd recommend logging out of the Fitbit app and on log back in, it also has the settings available in Game Golf to log in to the account.

If you keep having issues with the Game Golf app, try uninstalling and reinstalling the Fitbit app. Then, from the Fitbit app, reinstall the Game Golf app and try creating your account.

If you are still having difficulties with this after following those suggestions, I'd like you to send me screen shots of the error message or blank screen you're getting so I can go from there.

Looking forward to your response!

I have tried removing and re installing this app as I cannot seem to create an account (and therefore log in).

I can enter all my details to the point it says create account but nothing happens when I try to click on create.  It won’t allow me to do it.

I have created an account using the game golf app for iPhone but when I try to log on in the Fitbit ionic app game golf I get a user error message,

Tried again to create an account and it won’t do it.

Hi,

I am experiencing all of the same issues. An email to the Game Golf support team remains unanswered going on one week now. I will post any response I receive back from them.

It’s frustrating - I bought the ionic esp so I could download this app otherwise could have stuck with old Fitbit.

If not not resolved I may have to send it back.

Disappointing not to hear back back from Game Golf or Fitbit yet.

I've been able to create account, however the app does not download any golf courses even thought they are listed

That’s so frustrating. So Fitbit are advertising the ionic as being able to be used as a GPS golf range finder yet it’s not fit for purpose. I may have to ask for my money back.

Does anyone happen to know if the app works for the Versa?

Agreed. I bought my watch on Amazon and am trying to return it, but since Game Golf is a third party app, they say they can’t accept a return. Wish I had bought a Garmin in hindsight. FitBit should not be endorse an App ecosystem if the 3rd party apps don’t work or do not maintain a high level of support.

Hi. I’m having all same issues here. Is there a fix yet? Tried restarting, reinstalling both the app from the Fitbit and even the Fitbit app from phone. Nothing works.

Heard nothing from anyone. I am so frustrated. The app Golf GPS works but is so basic and freezes when you try to use it. As a golf GPS the ionic is useless.

I’ve sent a couple follow up emails to Game Golf with no response, so have decided to give up on it.

Garmin S60 is a better choice for golf and fitness so I would hope anyone doing fitness watch research that find this lost avoids FitBit and gets an Apple Watch or Garmin.

Hello everyone.

We appreciate your efforts in troubleshooting the Golf app and I'm sorry to hear that you're not able to log in. We found that the Game Golf Gps app was designed by a developer and not by Fitbit, for this reason I'd recommend to get in touch with them so you can receive more information about this situation. You'll find their contact details in the Fitbit app description. I'm sure that they'll be happy to continue assisting you the same way I will be if you need anything else.

See you around.

Thanks for your response. You advertise this app as compatible with the iconic but it’s not.

We have tried to contact the app developers but they do not respond.

We are being misled by Fitbit and the Game Golf.

The watch does NOT work as a GPS golf watch in this context and as such I would not ever recommend it.

Very disappointed with Fitbit’s response.

I'm getting the same issues.

i have downloaded the game golf app on the apple App Store to see if it links up . But I think it only suppports Apple Watch .

Surely fitbit are able to get in touch with the developer and resolve this minor issue and help out ionic users . Besides they endorse the game game golf app so they should help out as it's in there interest for their users.

I also have experienced all these same issues listed.  It's been 10 days now and hitting the "create account" button is still not registering.  I went on the apps website to create my account but when trying to log in through my phone to sync, I am getting the same error message listed in the picture below.  Any word on this getting fixed? I am now in serious consideration for leaving fitbit for other options.

I’m have sent four follow up emails to the app developer, with no response. FitBit says it’s not their problem even though they advertise the app on their website.
If you bought the FitBit Ionic with hopes of having and fitness and golf watch sadly you will be disappointed and frustrated

I hope anyone researching these threads does NOT buy a FitBit!

A Garmin S40 or S60 would be a better purchase.

FitBit needs to  find a blog moderator  that doesn’t send condescending email responses on the topic that provide inaccurate advice

I’ve always been a fitbit advocate in the past but I have to agree with all of the above.  You may as well buy a garmin.

Hearing their response and the iconic being mis advertised I am now looking to defect to Apple instead.  At least their  golf apps work.

Its pretty obvious fitbit are happy to advertise their devices with
inaccurate information. I guess they will advertise what they want just for
sales. I have ordered an Apple Watch for a nice Christmas gift to myself .
