Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has had the below issue or knows of any solutions?

The screen on the watch randomly went blank and wouldn't wake, despite having 60% battery a few minutes before. I tried to charge it in case that was the issue. However when I went back to check on it after half an hour, the watch was extremely hot to touch so I unplugged it.

I have attempted to restart it etc. but nothing seems to work.

I only bought the watch in June of last year so I'm very dissapointed to find that it has stopped working so soon.

Has anyone come across this issue before? The watch had been working perfectly up until this.

My watch I assume went flat over night and now won’t turn back on, I had it plugged in when I tried turning it back on too, did not register that it was charging. I cleaned the charging ports on the Fitbit and on the cable and still nothing, I left it plugged in, to hope it’d charge but when I touched it again it was really warm to tough. Now won’t turn on, it’s a Fitbit sense and it isn’t even 2 years old yet.. do they just die? Or has anyone been able to fix it?

I am having an allergic reaction to the Versa 4 band.

I used to have a Blaze that I loved but the battery stopped charging. I never had a reaction to those bands.

Does anybody know what those bands were made of?

Bought my wife a new Fitbit Charge 6 a couple of weeks ago and she's loving it but seems to have a allergic reaction to the silicone strap.

Does anyone else have this as it seems a bit poor to have to buy a new strap from the get go.

i got a fitbit sense 2 as a christmas present last year, and never activated it. Tried to charge it up and activate it this morning, but all it does is just heat up on the charger...

woke up also with my fitbit sense turned off and havn't been able to get it to turn back on.

both devices seems dead, and just spent over 1 hour trying to do chat/call support on google... the chat support/call support seems pretty abysmal right now

Got up this morning and needed put my sense 2 on the charger right away. Couple minutes later, my husband knocked it off so he put it back on again. When I walked by it after another couple minutes, I noticed it wasn’t on right so I picked it up to fix it and got burned. Absolutely stunned by this safety hazard. This is my second Fitbit and I’ve been using them for 3-4 years now. Not sure I trust it after that experience. Anyone else have this experience or know why something as simple as a charger facing the wrong direction would cause this?

Also, just noticed my charger is melted

Hello @Kimmi13389 and welcome to the Community.  I'm speculating, but I think you had a battery charging fault, especially if it was the Sense 2 that was hot.  This is a known risk with all rechargeable batteries.  You can't connect the charger in the wrong direction, by the way.  There are magnets in the Sense 2 and the charger.  It only connects one way.

My Versa 3 shut down with battery life left and won't turn back on.

It won't change. It just gets warm when I plug it in. I can't get it to do anything.

I’m having the same problem.  I tried to perform a hard reset and nothing.  Not sure what my next step should be?

I wore my inspire 2 for a few months. Day and night. The only time I would remove it was to shower. I even slept with it.

Suddenly I started having sharp pains in my left arm. I wore it only on my left arm. I was not lifting weights. I never fell down or landed on my arm. No physical accidents. I am healthy. My right arm was fine. I never wore the Fitbit on my right wrist.

I removed the Fitbit and stopped wearing it. It’s taken a couple of months but the pain has subsided. The Fitbit was the cause. It’s the only thing. The Fitbit was causing pain all throughout my arm.

I don’t recommend wearing any devices like this. No matter which brand it is.

google EMF, EMR - it’s real. We aren’t supposed to be wearing these things on our body. The longer the exposure the worst it will be for you. Including watches, headphones and cellphones.
