My Fitbit out of nowhere went dark and  gets extremely hot when I put it to charge. I have tried holding down the button/buttons to restart it and it has not been working. Feeling a little lost without it. They aren't cheap so you would think they would last longer

Hi @Meli_51 - don't charge or use a watch which overheats, it is dangerous.

Once internal damage is done, often through getting wet, there is nothing more to be done unfortunately.

I had to remove My fitbit charge 6 from my wrist after feeling a very bad burning sensation, only to find I had a really bad burn on my wrist.

Has anyone else experienced this

The lock on the strap is made from latex or another form of rubber and it makes my eczema flare. Would they go back to the lock that was on the Fitbit Versa 2? It caused no problems.

My fitbit also has shut down this afternoon, won't charge on the charger and got extremely hot when I put it on the charger for 10 minutes. The battery was not dead. Interested to know if anyone else's shut down today?

@Afupro   You might have a battery fault.  Please stop wearing your device and don't charge it.  Fitbit just announced a firmware update for affected Sense models.  Your Fitbit might be one of them.  Look for an email or an update notification on your Fitbit app.  Please contact Support for more help

Versa 3 not coming on but heats up. What do I do? Am I entitled to a new one?

Hello,

My Versa 3 will no longer boot. When the charger is connected it will immediately start to get very hot and won't progress past the boot logo. The side button does nothing when pressed or held except vibrate briefly.

Even after disconnecting the charger, the device remains on the boot logo and continues to be too hot to touch until the battery runs down to 0 and shuts off.

I understand this model may be affected by the newly disclosed overheating issue, but I am unable to even get the device to start to even perform the firmware update.

Does anyone have any advice?

Hi All,

I know it's common for some people to break out in a rash if wearing their device too tight. What is did not know is getting a burn was possible! My 8 year old woke up with a burn in the shape of the whole watch. Have a look at the picture! It even left a blister! I have reported it to Fitbit support but seem to be getting stall tactics. If anyone else has had this I would like to know. Poor kid loves her Fitbit, uses it to track her steps at school and watches her sleep score. She's only 8 but it makes her happy to keep an eye on her overall well-being. Obviously we won't let her wear it now but I think I deserve answers from Fitbit
