I just finished week 2 with the Going Steady workout. Was confused that it said it was 39 minutes long when the program is a
3 min warm up
5.5 min run
2 min walk
6 min run
2 min walk
6 min run
3 min cool down
My math says that’s a 27.5 minute run.
anyway, my real problem isn’t the math. I just started my 3rd and final week and saw my first workout for this week is the Going Steady workout again! Is a repeat workout normal?
Then the 2nd workout this week workout is a 16 minute walk. Culminating in the final workout being 30 minute run. Is this right? This run training progression doesn’t make any sense to me. How would 16 mins of walking get me ready to run nonstop for 30 minutes?

Hi there,
it’s been a while since you posted here but I was searching for info and it brought me here. I have the same issue with this program. I am getting back to running after a layoff of four months and thought this would be a good start. I plan to repeat week one at least once more before moving on. And then probably same with week two.
I’m wondering how you got on with your 30min run week three…😊
