I was very happy to see the Beginner Running program. I've always wanted to be a runner and found C25K overwhelming and I would give up easily. I hoped this would be better.
Workout #1 was great b/c there was no running at all. It was a mix of medium walk, power walk, and recovery. I was happy this was first.
Workout #2 was a disappointment. It's called "Mindful Walking" and was 20 mins of walk, medium walk, and stroll. I wondered why I was going backwards?
But then workout #3 has discouraged me. "Fartlek Fun" and is rated as difficult. It's medium walk, fast jog for 35 minutes.
How can I stay motivated when I go from an easy stroll walk to a difficult run with the Beginning Running program? How is this considered "beginner?
Already overwhelmed and wanting to quit ....

@anoellef A warm welcome to the Community. Thanks for sharing how you feel about this guided program.
Your feedback is appreciated, be sure that your comments haven't been unnoticed. We're always striving to improve our services offered.
The beginner running program lasts 3 weeks, the objective of this is that you could start building your base with easy walking and then on the second week, it should give you exercises to work on your speed and step up your running pace. Once you're on your 3rd week, it will ask you to run for at least 30 minutes without stopping.
It definitely shouldn't go from difficult to easy as it's a program that will help you to start running. I would like you to provide me with screenshots of your plan.
Looking forward to hearing back from you.

I find it goes from fairly manageable, e.g fartlek fun is a nice, but challenging intro. But from there you have a 2 min run, then the next stage is an active 8 min jog. Then week 3 is 30 mins!
