@Adtfreak A warm welcome to the Fitbit Community. Thanks for the details mentioned.

I moved your post to this board because it's more related to the topic. Fitbit Premium subscriptions are non-refundable. However if it was purchased through Google or Apple store, you could contact them as sometimes they offer refunds.

If you'd like to cancel your subscription, follow the instructions in this article

@Adtfreak Thank you for getting back. If your Fitbit Premium is cancelled now, you'll still have access to it until it expires.

I have had so many problems with my fitbit ionic.  Why can't my premium subscription be refunded just because the ionic has been such a mess since earlier updates?  Seems like that would be good customer service....

@debbgrif Hi there. Your feedback is appreciated, we're always striving to improve our services offered.

Fitbit subscriptions are non-refundable. However, if you're still experiencing syncing issue with your Ionic as I was able to see in other posts, please get in touch with our Support team, they'll provide the options available to you.

I have just been charged (via itunes) for the renewal of the fitbit premium with an annual subscription cost.  I've never had an annual - only monthly and there was no message to inform me that the renewal was about to take place, which is poor service I believe.  My Fitbit is currently broken (screen has died) and I am waiting to purchase new one when I can afford it.

I can see the instructions in this forum for how to cancel subscription via the Apple store, but that just tells me I have use of the service until Sept 2022 for remainder of the yearly sub.  However you indicate that Apple (?) might be able to refund if I go directly to them - can you provide instructions how to do that?

Many thanks

It's odd that the subscription changed. I see where you're coming from.

Happened to me too, absolutely furious!  No reminder and no receipt

Omg this happened to me through the play store. I feel scammed. Has anyone had a situation like this that got resolved, or is Fitbit really just out here with bad business practices? If I don't get some type of help with this, and they just stick me with the charge; I will never trust them or use their services again. This is absolutely ridiculous, and now I can see that I'm not the only one experiencing this. Fitbit: you really need to adress this problem, and clean up your act.

I still can't cancel

The same happened to us.  We received no warning or notification the subscription would be renewed and the first we noticed was when the charge posted to our credit card account. After literally hours on the phone with Fitbit and Google and following the instructions and submitting forms we were given, we're now told that nothing will be done and "If you would like to pursue the matter further, you can reach out to your financial institution."  I will dispute the charge but given the shoddy practices and finger pointing we've experienced so far, I don't expect a satisfactory resolution.

Good luck with getting a refund. A similar thing happened with me, and Fitbit would not refund. I was told they DO NOT refund subscriptions. I tried for several months and was not successful. So, I am no longer wearing the Versa 3 I have. I am looking for another tracker..

They don’t want to give you a warning so they can charge you then you see it and they say it is nonrefundable.

Go to your subscriptions on Apple ID and cancel it through there so that it doesn't automatically renew.  That's what I did this time.  Hopefully, it will not renew this time.

We have cancelled the subscription (and changed the payment method) so it won't automatically renew again this year.  One reason I wanted to cancel and get a refund is we get Premium as part of our medical insurance benefits so there's no reason to pay for it. Unfortunately, that's a benefit we'll not use as we're done with Fitbit.

I was done with them months ago. I felt it was “unethical” with the way they charged me for a second trial for my wife.

It signs you up for it when you order a new device. You are forced to opt out. The only way you know you're signing up for it - and subsequently required to cancel it - is the go look for more details. Even better for me is the paypal account I used to buy the device isn't my normal email so I didn't even get the autorenew emails. They went to my wife. And they refuse to refund the $30 for the last 3 months. I've never even used the Premium service nor do I care to.
