Cannot unlock Fitbit Premium 6 month trial in app

Hello, I own an android device and every time I try to unlock my 6-month free trial and premium subscription, the app does not process the purchase. My screen just sits with a buffer symbol next to the words "please wait" above a white blank space that was where I authorized the payment through my google play store account. How can i get past this screen or potentially redeem it via my laptop?

Update: I tried to switch payment, but it will not let me; it says "purchase failed" without letting me actually select a different payment method.

 

Update: Play Store issue, cleared cache and then it worked.
