Hello I have a Fitbit Alta and recently accepted Fitbit premium free trial. Everything seemed fine for a couple of days but now a few strange things happening. My sleep stats are the very basic stats - before upgrading I’d at least see REM/deep etc. But now just time asleep. Also I’ve got active minutes logged for days I know are not true. I was only interested in sleep data so it’s now useless. I shall cancel premium

@Helensumm It's nice to see you on the Community. Thanks for getting in touch about this.

I would like you to check the following scenarios where you might see your sleep pattern instead of sleep stages:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  • If you used the Begin Sleep Now option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your device to bed). For more information on automatic sleep tracking, see How do I track my sleep?
  • If you slept for less than 3 hours.
  • If your device’s battery is critically low.

As a side note, you may want to check this article to learn more about the difference between free and Fitbit Premium sleep information.

Regarding the active minutes you were receiving, please check your account and look for activities that might been manually logged either from third-party apps or if you manually log them. This might be the reason why you're receiving these extra active minutes.

Let me know the outcome.
