I received my Fitbit Inspire 2 yesterday. It says it comes with a 1 year free premium subscription.
When I want to activate the free premium trial, it only mentions 90 days. I can nowhere select 1 year.
What do I need to do ?

@ERW1975 Welcome to the Fitbit Community. Thanks for the details mentioned.
With the purchase of Inspire 2 you get 1 year Free Premium trial. However keep in mind that the tracker needs to be set up to her account and then she'll see the option to activate it.
Let me know how it goes.

I have a Inspire 2 I would like to setup the free year of premium but I can't because the account is set up with my main email account . In the premium portion to link to PayPal to set it up is linked to my account. The Gmail account is not linked to my PayPal. I suppose I could just list a credit card in the payment portal but I'd rather not. Is there any way around this so I can use the premium?
Thanks,

@Diannasav Welcome to the Fitbit Community. Thanks for the details mentioned.
Since you're activating the 1 year Premium trial from the Fitbit app, you'll be redirected to purchase it using your phone default store, it could be Google or Apple store. Learn more about it by checking this article What should I know about Fitbit Premium?

Thank you @SilviaFitbit , so today I purchased the Inspire 2 with 1 year Premium for free. After I installed, updated and synched the new device, the app was not giving me the option for the 1 year free trial, only 90 days.
I tried to prompt it manually by clicking on the 90 days and see if it updated to 12 months, but it did not.
I just read one of your old replies to another fellow Fitbitter, and how you wrote that if the free trial is activated, one just need to cancel it and after 3 days the 1 year membership included with Inspire 2 should appear as an option.
I just went ahead an cancelled. Will the option for the 1 year membership appear after 3 days from today, or 3 days from the end of the 90 days free trial that I just cancelled?
Many Thanks

This happened to me as well and I was told by Fitbit support chat that being I had previously done the trial premium membership that I was not eligible for the one year free premium that came with my Inspire 2. I am not a current premium member so I feel I should get the year being that was the offer when I purchased this new Fitbit.

Hi @sunnyczm , was told this morning by costumer service via email I should cancel the trial, and should get offered 1 year membership after the current free trial ends, within 3 days. Because this was written both on this boards and I have an email confirming me this, if at the end of my 90 days free trial nothing happens and they refuse to start the 1 year, I will raise this with them as I have plenty of proof they misled me, and by UK standards of costumer rights they should honour their statements.
I think you could do the same, and get in touch with Fitbit costumer support, as various CS operators have all said should be able to have the 1 year membership after the 90 days trial.
I have however noticed that the chat support don't seem to be as knowledgeable of offers and promotions as they seem to be on the email and community platform, where they seem to know a lot! For example, when I tried to raise this with the chat, the operator was not even aware of the promotion, so she asked me to tell her where I heard this? :'D So could potentially be a mistake what they told you on the chat, Community and email CS support seem to be way more knowledgeable, so maybe try with them this time? Wish you luck!

Hi! Thanks for responding. No I didn’t get a case #. What’s my next step? Out should I call customer service?

I will try that! The funny thing is that my trial membership ended in December and I just got my new Fitbit a couple of weeks ago and that’s what they told me. So I will for sure call. Thanks!

This didn't work. My 3 month subscription ran out March 30 and I still can't log in to get the 1 year free. You need to get this fixed. Very frustrating.

@mergrnwd Hi there. Thanks for the details mentioned.
Once the current subscription has expired, within 3 days you'll receive the notice to activate the 1 year free Premium trial that comes with Inspire 2. Keep an eye on your Fitbit app, as you should have received the option to activate it already.
Hope this helps.

@SilviaFitbit I had an older fitbit and just bought an Inspire 2. Do I understand that the 1-year premium trial is available even if I have an ongoing 90-day trial with the previous device? Thanks.

Hi there,
I was given an Inspire 2 in May 2021 and was told in a support chat the same thing you have mentioned here. Basically once the 90 day premium trial ends, I could start the one year free trial that came with my Inspire 2 within 3 days.
The premium 90 day free trial ended on Aug 16th. It is now Aug 20th. When I tap on the “try Fitbit premium” option within the app, I’m only offered the pay-by-month option. There is no “try Fitbit free for one year” option.
I’m curious as to how to resolve this.
Thanks in advance for any insight.
