How to add custom exercises on Pixel Watch 4 (Wear OS 6)?

Hi everyone,

Few days ago I purchased Pixel Watch 4 with Wear OS 6, and I’ve noticed there’s no way to add or customize exercise types in the Fitbit app on the watch. For example, I often play Floorball witch is similar then Indoor hockey and on my ticwatch pro 5 I used to Indoor Runs because no GPS needed, but neither of these appears in the available exercise list.

I’ve looked through both the watch and the Fitbit app on my phone, but I can’t find any option to:

Add a new/custom exercise type, or

Rename or modify an existing one (e.g., change “Treadmill” to “Indoor Run”).

It seems like other smartwatches on the market allow users to create custom workouts or rename existing ones — is there any workaround for this on Fitbit with Wear OS 6? Someone said modify option was removed????????? Or is this something Fitbit might add in a future update?

Thanks

I totally get what you mean! I’ve been exploring the Pixel Watch 4 with Wear OS 6 as well, and unfortunately, the Fitbit app on the watch doesn’t let you add or customize exercises directly. Sports like Floorball or Indoor Hockey aren’t listed, and workarounds like using “Indoor Run” aren’t available either. I’ve been looking for solutions or updates that might allow this—maybe check  for tips or community suggestions on adding custom workouts.

Indoor run would be a run with GPS turned off. IE: you could use treadmill

Same with me.  I row a sculling shell, and would like to add 'sculling' or at least 'rowing' as a GPS tracked exercise.  I know I can use can use 'canoeing' as an activity, but I can't believe that at least 'rowing' is not on the list.

Having the same problem with juggling. There's really nothing close. There's a generic "activity" I guess... It's wild to me some of the stuff that is in there and the granularity of options, while missing some (I suspect) more common activities and offering no way to create a custom one or (as far as I can tell) to request new activities to be added by the devs.
