Update 06/11/2019:

Hello everyone! I've a new update regarding the banner situation. There's a little "x" on the top right corner of the pop-up Try Premium banner. This way you can remove it from your dashboard. I'll keep you all updated if I receive more information.

Don't hesitate to contact me back if you need anything else, I'll be here.

No way to remove the Try Premium banner, and clicking on Try Premium takes you to a page where you can't even select Premium! Not that I want to - I just want to get rid of this extremely annoying banner. This app update has not been an improvement in any sense of the word.

I assume it’s only those with the new app interface. Appears top 1/4 of the screen and won’t go away.

Morning all
My "Try Premium" has vanished all together. Not that I am complaining. The X must be new because it was not there to start.Other banners that have appeared all have the X now also.
Best Answer

Same. No X and new format is annoying. Moreover if you insist on a feedback survey, at least return me to the page I was on at the end rather than leaving no way back except the phone back button 😞

Hi again! I'm happy to continue providing assistance with your Premium ad concerns, my apologies for the delayed reply. Welcome aboard @Fantail65 and thanks for your reply @SJM63.

@SJM63 Thanks for letting me know that your concern was resolved and that you were able to remove the Try Premium advertisement. Don't hesitate to contact me back if you need further assistance, I'll be here.

@Fantail65 Seems odd that you're unable to remove the ad, can you please let me know if your Fitbit app is updated? If this is the case, I recommend you to update and check the little x that is on the banner. Let me know how it goes.

Keep me posted.

I think there is also an issue with all the locks throughout the new app. They are subtle advertisements through out the app for the premium service, and constant reminders that we don't have 'the best' service.

Given the hundreds of dollars we all spent on our fitbit, I think such 'upselling' should be at the very least optional or able to be turned off.

I really do find it quite disturbing given that we already paid for this and are being hassled with upsell.

There is no little "x" on the top right corner of the "Join Fitbit Premium" nag on the Sleep screen.  It takes up way too much screen space and is VERY annoying.  Version up to date 3.8 (882).

I thought about trying and canceling, but I see in the forum Fitbit has hidden how you do that too.  Bad customer relations!

Best Answer

that is very annoying. Fitbit should stop with the shameless advertising on our devices.

Best Answer

I agree. Ad for "Sleep score details" takes the top of the screen and I have to scroll to see my info.

No "X" to close it and I just updated.

Make it stop please. Greed will drive away customers.

Best Answer

Premium nag has magically vanished. Yea!

There's a couple of locked teases but they're at the bottom of the screen so not in the way.

Much better.

I agree! I spent enough on this Fitbit right when it was released and I'm pretty annoyed that they're still trying to bleed me dry.

Please find a way to get rid of the advertising. Either get rid of the advertising or I’m get getting rid of Fitbit!  I understand Fitbit is trying to sell a new product but it has become a maddening annoyance and distraction.
