Please enable casting for workout videos!

I am loving the Fitbit Premium app workout videos, except I'm really struggling without the ability to cast to another screen from my Android phone (not sure if it's the same issue with iOS). I use Chromecast on my TV, which many other workout apps or video streaming services enable for streaming. If I could click a button and move the video from my small phone screen that I have to keep moving throughout workouts to my TV, that would be great!

I completely agree - I have an iPhone and a chromecast on my tv, but haven't yet found an option to stream Fitbit Premium workouts through the chromecast. The Premium service will essentially be useless if I can only watch workouts off my phone.

I totally agree with this!  Watching a video on my phone and trying to see the tiny screen while doing a video is next to impossible.  Please enable casting.  After my trial is up I'll definitely cancel the membership because the videos are useless on a phone

I'm an android user and I can see a casting button before you play the workout videos. When you press it, it looks like it's working on the tv, screen goes black but then returns to the screensaver.

I am accessing Fitbit Premium on my iPhone and I don’t have the casting icon. I’ve looked for it everywhere I can think of and tried mirroring my phone screen on my tv but this hasn’t worked either. I have hardly utilised the functions of Premium because of this!

Agreed! Please can you fix this Fitbit so videos can be a streamed to chromecast!

I 100% agree with this. If I can not cast to my TV it means I have to switch to a different provider that can.  Kind of disappointed that Chromecast is not a standard now to have.  Very disappointing ☹️

100% agree - I have an iPhone and an iPad but haven't yet found an option to stream Fitbit Premium workouts through anything except the apps. The iPad app is useless - the screen is the same size as my iPhone! If I can only watch workouts from my phone, I'll be cancelling as soon as the free "premium" is up.

I have already cancelled the premium

subscription. It still allows you to use the premium function until the end of the free period, just won’t automatically renew at the end so you won’t get charged.

I have an Android phone. I downloaded the Google Home app from the Play store and now I can cast my Android phone to my television using Chromecast. It's actually pretty simple and functional.

If you install the Google Home app on your device, you can cast your device to your TV using Chromecast. I have an Android phone. I don't know if you can get the Google Home app on an Apple device.

I have an iPhone, and the google home app and chromecast, but the Fitbit app doesn’t seem to allow streaming via a chromecast 😞

I just did the same! It's fairly useless.

Yes! You all should add this feature and consider building an app for smart tvs for at home workouts! It would be really helpful.

Thanks for the suggestion! Glad to hear it works for someone, though I tried this and unfortunately for me, it keeps causing the videos to pause or crash, which does not happen when I just view them on my phone. Will try again with another device, but for Fitbit staff -  Casting ability in the app would hopefully make that better for all of us!

I did this and it's saying there arent devices available should I say I'm setting one up?

I have this app on my phone now. How do I get it to work with Fitbit and Chromecast?

Until fitbit adds this feature directly in app, you can cast (or rather "mirror" your phone's screen) to your TV using the Google Home app.

1) Open the Google Home app

2) Select the device you wish to cast to (e.g. "Living Room TV").

3) In the bottom lefthand corner of the screen, select "Cast my screen" and follow the instructions.

Google Home will mirror your phone's screen on your TV so you'll likely have to keep your phone screen awake.

Good suggestion..

What I do is.. go to Google chrome on my laptop, open Fitbit coach website and then cast from there straight to my Chromecast and so I can see on big screen.
I mean that’s the only way out for now..

Seems crazy that you can't cast it when there are other fitness apps out there that let you.
