Dear fitbit:
Before you tell me you can measure SP02, you need to be crystal clear that:
- it’s not real time data
- it’s not continuous data (sleep apnea is only a small part of some users lives)
- it does not track alongside sleep data to see if low ox sats are possibly causing sleep issues.
With more and more people trying to find a way to continuously monitor ox sats for a variety of breathing conditions - without carrying their oximeter around and make less than discrete spot checks - you need to stop worrying about liability for providing personal health data for non-medical purposes as individuals concentrate on their own fitness and wellness.
Yes, we will use the data to focus on our own wellness, despite any agreements to the contrary, and you are missing your ability to corner the market with your fitness data tracker because of the lame and pointless restrictions about the speed of data delivery, and the failure to provide continuous data.
I’m cancelling my fitbit premium trial and returning my fitbit Charge 4.
Very disappointed to be doing so. I expected more from fitbit.
