On the app there was a banner for getting a 90day free trial of fitbit premium. I signed up but was charged $9.99 right away. Has anyone else has this issue? So much for free trial... Smh

Who did you email for your refund, I can’t find an email address. I’ve had to send a message through Facebook messenger!

FitBit will offer you no help, I contacted Apple as this is who I paid through - and got my £80 refund for my annual membership within a week. The warning caveat on this though is do not use any of the Premium features within 14 days or they'll attempt to get your refund back.

Yes it isn't clear at all (offer only applicable to those who haven't tried Premium before). Part of the conversation I had below with FitBit help.
Me: I'm a bit confused as you are the ones charging this amount, Apple is simply the payment platform...
FitBit: Because of that, they are the ones in charge of addressing any purchase made through the Apps Store or Apple Services,if the subscription would have been acquired through fitbit.com, it would fall to us. But this is not the case.

Had this happen to me this morning, so furious! Reached out to Fitbit support and wouldn’t issue a refund, made me contact Apple lol waiting to see if they will refund it for me, takes 48 hours for the claim…wow.

I am facing the same issue. I signed up thinking I got the free trial but then received a receipt from Apple for $79.99. I immediately (I thought) cancelled within minutes of signing up for it only to find days later that the money was taken from my PayPal account. Nowhere did it say that only new members were eligible for the Premium. I’ve been waiting since last Wednesday for a response and have been patiently waiting but now that I see that my subscription was not cancelled as I intended, I am not-so-patiently waiting for a response. I went through the steps of cancelling. Why was that process not successful? I have been singing Fitbit’s praises but customer service is a huge part of the quality of the product
It appears as though I’m most definitely not the only person this has happened to.

Yes I was charged upfront for 57 dollars of premium service as soon as I signed up for my 6 months free trial. I've made them Aware of it, emailed 14 times and called a few until they told me they would only help me by email from now on. So they have my money and won't talk to me. I showed them a statement from my bank because they say the charge didn't happen. Still won't talk to me. I've never came across a company like this one. They are blatantly stealing!

Hey there!
I just got my Fitbit Charge 4 device yesterday. I was so excited to use it. It is my first time focusing on my health. And I was amazed that I got to have a free 90-day trial of the Fitbit Premium model. This is what I saw:
And I think it would be more practical to use the yearly subscription instead of the monthly one.
I checked my Apple account, and it clearly states that my subscription will start on the 3rd of February of 2022.
However, when I checked this site (https://www.fitbit.com/global/us/account/subscriptions), my next billing would be on the 7th of November of 2021.
Right now, I am worried that I might also be unexpectedly charged too.
What do you guys think?

Omg yes. Requesting a refund as we speak. Took two charges before I noticed. Not cool, Fitbit!

There was a banner for 90 day free trial and I signed up and have been charged for an annual subscription. Now fitbit wont refund my money. This is pure cheating. I have been using fitbit for years and this is the worst experience I have had. If this is only meant for new premium users then why is banner being shown to people who have tried premium before. This is just cheating.
