Tried to cancel & ask for refund same day for Fitbit premium when signed up through Fitbit.com

I am extremely unhappy with Fitbit’s performance and services. No more bingo challenges, barely ever get sleep analytics properly. Maybe 10% of the time my Fitbit actually tracks it properly. I bought this for my birthday last year and it came with premium and then without notice it automatically renews for this  service they have taken away features for. I contacted support within a half hour of my credit card being billed and asked for a refund and they say no. This was done directly on Fitbit.com’s website so I don’t want to hear about this being impossible because it’s the Apple or google store. It is possible this is just extremely poor customer service and bad value for money. I will never purchase a Fitbit again and will never recommend them. What a mistake it was buying a new one last year I thought it was worth it having warranty and the Bingo challenges but it doesn’t even work very well and they reduced services. This is a scam. $86 USD for premium? That’s obscene!

Hi @Vgirl1.

Thanks for taking the time to share your concerns with us.

As you know, Premium services aren't refundable and we recommend contacting your phone's app store so they can look into your options. I'm sorry for this inconvenience and your feedback is truly appreciated. You can always review our Policy for Paid Services here.

I understand you guys may have canned copy paste replies to put on every post. But it looks like you did not read my post at all. This membership was done through fitbit.com because I ordered my fitbit last year through the website. The premium renewal was NOT done through Apple or google but fitbit itself. So contacting other companies is not appropriate. I had to email fitbit customer service several times. This will be my last fitbit I ever buy. I’ve had several and it’s more expensive and settings and services keep getting removed.

Also happened to me, but with PayPal. I'm in Portugal. It was 80 EUR! Had a ionic and now Charger5. They offered me a 1year subscription and that's how they got access to renew feature in PayPal without me knowing. Fitbit never again!

And why aren't they refundable?! It's specifically says ALL your products are refundable...what's the difference?! Semantics. A service instead of a product. In its core a service IS a product! And in my modest opinion it would be a lot worst returning a watch or a band...

@3a5y Hi there, welcome to our community.

I want to let you know that your feedback is more than helpful for us in order to improve our products and service. I know it might be frustrating, but I hope you understand that we must stick to our terms of paid service. What we recommend is cancelling the subscription at any time before the renewal date to prevent a recurring charge at the end of your subscription term.
