RESOLVED: Daylight Saving Time: Sunday, 03/11/2018

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Daylight Saving Time will take place in the United States this Sunday morning, and some features on your Fitbit device may be affected. These issues should be resolved by syncing after the time change. If you continue to have trouble with any of the following features, please proceed with the troubleshooting steps provided:

Sleep logs may be off by an hour and graphs may show incorrect data
- Try editing your sleep log to reflect the correct amount of sleep by following the steps here.

Hourly Activity Goals and Reminders To Move may change to a different timeframe
- We recommend switching Reminders To Move to “off” so that you aren’t receiving these reminders until the issue is sorted. You can re-enable the feature tomorrow.

Device time may be off by one hour
- Restart your phone to make sure the time is correct there first, and then manually sync your device.

Silent alarms may be off by one hour
- We recommend setting a backup alarm on your phone or clock if you need to be woken up on Sunday morning. Your device's alarms should be accurate as soon as your the time updates by syncing with an phone/computer that shows the correct time.

As a general rule of thumb, we recommend turning on All Day Sync so that your device has the best chance of being up to date on Sunday. Once your device has synced and updated to the new time, you should be all set.

And as a clarification to my original post - I do have all day sync on. My device is always set for all day sync.  Please update your instructions to address the questions from the community. Thank you.

My time is off only for my 250 steps per hour. Steps taken for 7AM were logged as 8AM and is continuing. How can I fix that? I have restarted my phone and my fitbit but still hasn't synced for 250 per hour.

I have a Fitbit Flex 2 and I am still experiencing incorrect time due to Daylight Savings. I have restarted my phone and my Fitbit, I charged my Fitbit, synced it with both my phone and computer, and it is continuing to show the incorrect time. When I open up my device information, it shows when the device was previously synced, and the time shown is accurate. But the hourly activity, sleep log, and step graph are all still an hour ahead. Please help me to resolve this issue.

I was unable to edit my sleep log on the Fitbit app (iOS). As others have reported, the app wouldn’t even show the three dots to access the editing feature.

I was able to edit the sleep log on the website. After I did that, the app showed the dots and would allow me to edit within the app.

My sleep log is not fully in sync, reminders to move are not fully in sync, however the time is in sync with my phone.

One of my main issues is with the app “Treasure Trek”. All of my saved data has been replaced with a map that says “2070” (steps to complete the map), the amount of coins number “-638221992”, not able to press the “i” button to get to your stats, and no option to purchase any pet(s), crew, and/or ship(s), as the “i” button and buying buttons will not function when pressed. Also, each item can be purchased for “255.48 quintillion”, and I receive “?/?” underneath “Daily Challenge!”. I worked hard to complete the last map before the time change (18,000 steps to complete it yesterday), and now everything is gone. I attempted to restart the phone and Ionic - also synced multiple times, and I am still faced with the seemingly fully deleted save data.

What would be the step(s) to rectify the issue?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

I know Fitbit likes quantity so I am adding to the numbers. My 250 steps count is off. My phone is set to use network time and the device time is consequently correct. We do not adjust for daylight savings here so whatever solution you come up with should take that into account. I am travelling to a different time zone soon, I am now wondering if my Fitbit can handle that ...

Click where it shows how long you’ve slept, then click on where it says today. Up in the right hand corner there should be three little dots, and then when you click on it it’ll say edit log or delete.

Mine says I went to sleep at 9:20 and slept until 7:03 (it was actually 6:03 daylight savings time per all my clocks and my Fitbit so I am not sure what the heck...).  It said I slept 6 hours and 43 minutes and was awake 1 hour.

I wonder how long until this is fixed?  Or how do we fix it?  It should have went forward an hour but mine went backwards as I got up at 6:03, not 7:03....

I'm trying to set up my alarms for tomorrow morning. I set an alarm for 2:30 am and it automatically changes to 3:30 am.  I tried to set one up for 1:30am or 3:30am and it will set for those times. I just won't let me set up any alarms in the 2am hour. It' now 10:30 am on Sunday after the time change. I' ttrying to set this up for Monday morning. How do I fix this?

Synced 100 times and clock is still not right.

The time change seems to have messed up my Fit Bit Flex 2. It logged sleep until 8:01 but it was only 7:41 when I checked it and I had been awake for awhile. Anybody know why this might have happened, if it will self correct, or even where the Fit Bit draws the time from?

It also messed up my activity reminders. It won't let me reset the times either. So weird.

The time on my Fitbit is wrong.  It jumped ahead for the time change, but here in Saskatchewan we don't change.

My step count carried over from yesterday.  Any advice?  Restarted Fitbit and IPhone already.

For now I just turned off the option to sync to device's time and changed the time zone option. it seems to have worked that way. Maybe tomorrow I will put it back and see.

I had restarted my phone then turned on the Bluetooth but the Fitbit didn't change time due to the spring forward; surprised it isn't automatically like the mobile phones; I only had to change my vehicle clock; before glancing at the phone I had glance at the fitbit & it was the same as the vehicle; it was easy on fixing the vehicle!!!
