Carb tracker hack

I came up with a hack, of sorts, for tracking carbs. Since I don't care about tracking water, I set my daily water goal as my limit of carb grams, and I add them manually. (I get the numbers by clicking on the nutrition info when I add foods -- but if you eat low-carb products like Atkins bars, take note that the app doesn't show the sugar alcohol separately, so you'll have to get it from the label.) This makes the results backwards, of course, since the app would congratulate me for the undesirable act of exceeding my carb goal; but at least it gives me a visual cue to how I'm doing on carbs for the day.

Here we are in 2019 almost 2020 and Fitbit food plans STILL insist on using a calorie basis and do not permit a simple switch to a carbohydrate basis.  All of the data is in the excellent Fitbit database.  It would seem a very simple feature to add the option to the food plans.  Science has disproved the calorie theory numerous times.  If calorie counting worked, 88% of the population Westernized World would not be metabolically ill with over 60% overweight/obese and diabetic or on their way to diabetes. There are several excellent studies that show diabetes and obesity can be reversed with a low carb diet.  This epidemic is costing enormous suffering as well as expense for everyone.  Please, Fitbit, pay attention to the science and offer users a choice of carb or calorie food plans.
