The annoying feature of defaulting to the Feed is becoming embarrassing. My nephew who is 12 is now seeing almost pornographic images every day. There must be a simple solution to turn this features off. Why can’t Fitbit have a parent / guardian option which switches this feature off?
Come on Fitbit - you’ve got enough resistance gathering against this feature and you’re ignoring getting this fixed.
Next step could be to report you to the ICO ? Fines are massive for you if we cannot opt out of concent particularly where minors are concerned.

Hi there @Gillie60, welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums! 🙂
Thanks a lot for jumping into the Forums about this. I'd like to help you out!
I'm not completely sure what you're referring to when you say "The annoying feature of defaulting to the feed". Could you please be more specific about that? I'd like to know where exactly this is happening and when you refer to "Almost pornographic images", what type of images are these? Are them images related to fitness and activity that you find offensive? Is there any way you could plase share a screenshot of how it looks for you and share it here?
Thanks for your cooperation. I'll be happy to help you out!

Hi @Gillie60, thanks for getting back!
Unfortunately, I'm not able to see the image you shared, your post appears to be blank. To be able to attach your image, make sure to tap on the camera icon at the top of the typing box. Then, tap in the center of the screen of your phone and it will ask you if you want to take a photo or if you'd like to add one from your Photo Library. Here, attach your screenshot and then, post your reply.
I'll be looking forward for your reply!

Thanks for getting back @Gillie60! 🙂
I have not been able to see the images, but no worries, that's okay.
As far as i know Fitbit Ace accounts don't have access to Community Feed on the app as it was made specially for kids under 13. Could you please let me know what tracker is your nephew using?
On the other hand, what appears on the Community Feed is posts that your friends/people you follow from your groups post. There is a difference between someone posting pictures of their body progress and what pornography actually is. If you notice any behavior that depicts the explicit description or display of sexual organs or activity, intended to stimulate erotic rather than aesthetic or emotional feelings or ideas, feel free to report it.
Now, about the option to turn off the Community Feed, there is a feature suggestion that I found for having the ability to remove it that has been reviewed by a moderator but there's no update on if this is something that will be eventually implemented. You can see the suggestion here.
If you need more help with this, let me know!

@Gillie60 Similar to many online services, our Terms of Service do not allow users who are under the minimum age to create standard Fitbit accounts with access to Feed. If you would like to create an account for your child, please consider Fitbit Ace, which is designed for kids 8 and up. Feed is disabled on Child Accounts.
You can report inappropriate content on Feed by following these instructions. Our Moderators act on these reports to keep Feed welcoming and appropriate for all users.

Fitbit,
This is ridiculous that we can't turn the "Feed" off or default it to the "Friends" tab. I just want it to go to the "Friends" tab. I like to keep track of their steps. I don't want to see their badges & trophies. It always defaults to the "Feed" tab. It's always an extra step to get where I want to go. I am using the IOS app. If you just made the "Friends" Tab first that would be great. It can't be that hard to modify the app.
Thanks,
Paul

I have been contacted on fitbit twice today with a pornographic web address. My 11 year old son was contacted last week. As he has a fitbit versa he cannot have a child account, we only had the option of fitbit ace for kids. Now we have to block all friend requests because of these people. I reported them & nothing gets done.

Here's an image from the link in "Michele-C"'s profile. This link and MANY like this are still being pushed through 'friend requests'. Some 'community'! My default policy has to be "don't accept friendship from ANYONE that belongs to Fitbit!"
