Device not charging

Hi,

My Flex 2 was working fine until a few days ago - charging, lights, tracking steps, syncing etc.

Suddenly it does not charge.

When plugging charger into USB power source it flashes 5 white lights for a fraction of a second, then nothing.

When pressing the reset button at the bottom of the charger once or 3-times-in-5-seconds, same thing, i.e. 5 white lights for a fraction of a second, then nothing more.

What is the diagnosis, and what can be done to fix it ?

Thanks,

Leon

Hi @LeonR_CapeTown  If restarting multiple times doesnt help then the diagnosis it probably death, unfortunately. How long have you had it?

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check our help article: Why isn't my battery charging on my Fitbit device? and let me know how it goes. Such article includes a restart process which can be really helpful for this situation

@NellyG Thanks for your support!

Hi @NellyG, @RicardoFitbit,

I have tried the restart process many times, and it just gives the brief 5-white-light flashes, then nothing more.

Even when left plugged into laptop-USB, my phone does not see the device on bluetooth.

It seems to be well and truly dead.

It is about 24-36 months old.

Is this the expected lifetime for a Fitbit product ?

If so, I guess I should avoid Fitbit for my replacement purchase ?

If not, is there somewhere in Cape Town or South Africa where it can be repaired or replaced due to premature death ?

Thanks again.

Leon
