Flex and sleep mode

So. I just discovered that my flex hasn't tracked my sleep since Tuesday (it's now Friday) and hasn't correctly counted my steps at all this week, I have 17,000 for the week and I know I hit my goal at least twice this week! Also can't figure out how to take it off sleep mode, it gets activated while pushing my daughter in her stroller on rough terrain and also while pushing shopping cart at the store, with my old band I could do the five taps and it would go back to normal. With my aftermarket band I have to use now that my original broke I can tap the hell out of it with no results. I have to plug it in to even figure out that it's been in sleep mode. I'm currently charging it up and going to reset it to see if that does anything.
I'd also love pushing stroller to be an option since there's little wrist movement. And breastfeeding under exercise would be great too! (Like the Lose It! App-since I take in more calories for feeding baby)

@Taushiamarie welcome to the Community! It's great having new faces. Cat Very Happy Let's work this out! Also, make sure that you have only one tracker paired to your account (MobileTrack counts, and this should only be paired to your account if you didn't have any Fitbi tracker). Also, I recommend restarting your tracker by doing the following:

  1. Plug your charging cable into the USB port and insert your tracker into the charging cable.
  2. Insert a paperclip into the small pinhole on the back of the charger.
  3. Press on the pinhole for 3-4 seconds.
  4. Take your tracker out of the charger and insert it back into the wristband.

Actually your Flex, auto detects sleep logs. To track your sleep with Fitbit Flex, simply wear your tracker to bed. When your Flex syncs in the morning you'll see last night's sleep stats on your dashboard. If your tracker is stuck in sleep mode, please tap your Flex rapidly for one to two seconds to exit sleep mode. Upon exiting sleep mode, your Flex will vibrate and display flash all five LED indicator lights several times, and then display a spinning light pattern.

Now, I've found this idea to add Pregnancy and Nursing settings. Add your vote and your comments so it can gain momentum!

MIriam,

just to be clear, when my fitbit is in "sleep mode" it will record sleep but NOT steps? the reason i asked is that i'm looking at the data from my fitbit (i downloaded it) and i can see periods (they are infrequent but they exist) where sleep is being recorded but no steps (i.e. 0 steps) and i also see periods where steps are recorded but no sleep. the 2nd makes a little sense since i sometimes charge my watch at night but the 1st is confusing UNLESS my watch got stuck in sleep mode and while it was in sleep mode it recorded sleep sessions but no steps. Thanks.
