Have had the fitbit flex for a while (2-3 years) but never really used it. Did the initial setup and created an account and everything worked well. I decided to try to use it and set it up to charge it. At this time it tried and succeeded to connect to my iPad, but nothing else would work. Just 3 lights flashing left to right and right to left continously. After charging it for 3 days I tried setup again but now the iPad won't recognize the flex and still those same 3 flashing lights. I read about doing a reset and did a reset, but that has not made a difference either. Can anyone suggest how to fix this? I am no longer under any warranty. Thanks.

Hi @CMD1930 see Page 8 of the user manual, which explains light patterns - click to go there.

Sorry @CMD1930 here is the Flex manual. The Flex has five lights and the Flex 2 has four. Light patterns were more specific with the Flex 2. If your lights are going back and forth, it would seem it needs a firmware update. It should be 7.88 and you can learn more here - towards the bottom of the page.

Thank you Odyssey13.
I have paired my flex with my laptop running Windows 10. It shows on my bluetooth list. However, it has sat, plugged in to my USB hub for 24 hours and is still showing 0% charge. And the 3 lights continue to flash back and forth. When I sign into the fitbit, com account it shows no devices paired. I have downloaded and installed fitbit Connect for Windows 10. It says it has found my fitbit and asks me to tap it until I feel a vibration, but this never happens and then it says the fitbit is trying to communicate with another device and to retry. So I retry and the same thing happens again and again. I know it needs a firmware update but untill it shows in my account how can I update it? And what about the fact that it does not want to charge?
