How do I delete a message on fitbit?

How can I delete some messages that some friends sent me on fitbit?  I would like to clear them all and start fresh?  Please Help...thanks

You could opt to receive messages via email - those you CAN delete (hopefully).

Top right click on the cog icon, scroll down and click on "Settings".

On the left side click on "Notifications".

Under "Messages from Friends" unclick the mobile checkmark and click the Email one instead.

Bottom right click Save.

I have messages that are over 150 days old and they have NOT automatically deleted??????

I see that this was posted over a year ago. I also see current requests. Is this something that fitbit is just not going to do for whatever reason? Being able to remove old or unwanted messages and challenges would be great.

I have messages in my Fitbit that are over 300 days old so they didn't fall off after 30 days?

@Sparker57 Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It is not possible to delete messages. The messages should delete themselves after 30 days of being there. I recommend doing the following:

• Check if the Fitbit app is up to date.
• Log out from the Fitbit app.
• Reboot your phone.
• Log back in to the Fitbit app.

That should certainly help.

@shreya1610 Welcome to the Fitbit forums! That is strange! Fitbit messages should only be there for 30 days. I recommend following the steps I left on my post above as that has helped other users fixing this issue in the past.

@emma.e Thanks for being part of the Fitbit family! I was making some research on this and was able to find a workaround posted by @NotYetFit that has worked great for other users. I totally recommend trying that!

Curious then why I have messages that are 301 days old.  Any hope/help for deleting them?

They don't delete ur messages or  Notifications IM SO ANNOYED 😒!! It doesn't even work!

Hi Still this issue is pending and there's no solution for this. 

Still messages are appear and we can't delete them. 

Even tho you log out or not.

Waiting 30 days is not an acceptable solution, Fitbit—especially when I have received unwanted messages from people. You need to take unwanted contact on your platform seriously.

Signing out and back in did not fix the problem for me either.

Is there not a way to delete it before 30 days.  I hate logging on and seeing notifications that I have read and not being able to delete them.  This seems like something that would be easy for fitbit to allow users to do.

Log out of your app on your phone, make sure you know your password. Log back in straight away and all the messages will be deleted.
