Improper syncing

My fitbit has been improperly syncing my numbers. It told me that I walked 9,700 steps to equal 6 miles one day, and then 9,800 steps to equal 5.77 miles the next day, and then 10,100 steps to equal 4.17 miles. I've tried to reset the tracker with the pin hole on the charger, but not sure what else to try.

You may want to read this article .  It talks about how the Fitbit measures your stride length and your steps.  If you think it's inaccurate, it also tells you how you can rectify the situation.
