Miles ran shows different mileage

When I run with the Flex2 I have it notify me every 1/2 mile along with time and average time per mile.  I typically run 3 miles and it tells me when I have completed mile 3.  However, when it syncs, the main screen shows considerably less than 3 miles.  How can I change this so both the notification and main page indicate the accurate info

@Jamm5266 Welcome! It's nice to have you on board! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

 

Let me help you with your distance not showing correctly on your account. Your device uses the number of steps and stride length to calculate the distance. You can improve the accuracy by measuring and logging your stride length. Feel free to use these instructions to do this.
