My Fitbit flex 2 is not charging

I got a Fitbit flex 2 as a gift 2 days ago. I have kept it for charging for more than 8 hours, while charging only 1 light is blinking, but in the fitbit mobile application it is still showing 0 % battery ??

Can you please help me ?

Let me help you with your Flex 2 not charging. Try cleaning the contacts using cotton swab with rubbing alcohol, then charge it by plugging it for a couple of hours directly to your computer's USB port (try different ports) or use an UL-certified USB adapter. After this, restart your device and see how it behaves. You can follow these instructions to help your tracker charge.

I cleaned the contacts using cotton swab with rubbing alcohol and
thereafter plugged it for charging for couple of hours on computer's usb
port and UL-certified USB adapter. I also restarted it.

My pebble does not vibrates when I put the pebble for charging. My pebble
is synchronizing with the Fitbit mobile application but it is showing
"Battery Empty"

Please help me. Is my product defective ???
