Re: How long did your fitbit last before it died?

I really love my Versa, but this is now the second one that has died in 7 months.  The first one croaked less then a month after purchase.  Fitbit customer service was awesome and send me a new one in less then 2 days.  Now that one has died unexpectedly, after using it at the gym last night and less then 6 months from just being replaced.  What is the deal?  I paid $200 for this thing.  I love my fitbit versa, and the app but this is ridiculous!  It's supposed to be a smart watch, if I'd spent the extra $200 for the apple watch I wouldn't be having these issues.  I have friends with the first generation apple watches that are still going strong 7 years later now, and I can't even get my fitbit to last 6 months!!! That is not ok!!!

I'm now back to using my first fitbit flex which I've had since 2015 as its the only one that continues to work and it literally cost me like $40.00.  Something is seriously messed up with that!

I’m having the same issues with my Blaze. It lasted about 1 1/2 years and then started intermittently not tracking my heartbeat and of course my sleep. Troubleshooting it then revealed the battery was almost dead, holding only about 2 days, and still problems with heart tracking.

Since it’s out of warranty Support, although easy to work with, couldn’t replace or fix my Blaze so they offered a discount off buying another model. I’m currently pursuing other options.

Apparently you need to also buy their extended warranty to be sure to be covered when the battery inevitably dies.

I had an Alta and decided to upgrade for more features. My Versa was purchased June 27, 2018. It died, June 2, 2019. I received a replacement since I was still under warranty. The replacement device has now died after 7 months. I used silicone screen protectors with both. I will not be purchasing another Fitbit. I’m going to use my Alta until it dies And then I’m moving to Apple. It’s a shame, I love Fitbit but I cannot afford to throw money away.

I have had the EXACT same problem! They're so expensive for something that lasts 6 to 7 months. I'm so annoyed...what a ripoff.
