Materials
The Fitbit Flex 2 wristband is made of a flexible, durable elastomer material similar to that used in many sports watches. Flex 2 also has a surgical-grade stainless steel clasp.

Just to add to that. The Flex 2 manual has now been published (see: https://staticcs.fitbit.com/content/assets/help/manuals/manual_flex_2_en_US.pdf ) and it says:
"The wristband that comes with Flex 2 is made of a flexible, durable elastomer material similar to that used in many sports watches. It does not contain latex.
The clasp that comes with Flex 2 is made of surgical-grade stainless steel. While all stainless steel contains traces of nickel and can cause an allergic reaction in someone with nickel sensitivity, the amount of nickel in all Fitbit products meets the European Union's stringent Nickel Directive.
Fitbit accessory bangles, bands and, pendants sold separately are available in durable elastomer and stainless steel."
I guess I'm wondering if it's the exact same material that the Fitbit Flex is made from because I had an allergic reation to the Flex.
Best Answer@MsConnie, I think you will find that is similar or the same material as the Flex, so if you are sensitive to one, you will probably be sensitive to both, unfortunately. However, with the new Flex 2 there will be a range of other bands and accessories available, including a necklace. That might make it easier for you to wear.

My question is what is the elastomer made from?
I have an extreme sensitivity to corn and corn derived products. If the elastomer is derived from corn based alcohol and not petroleum based polymers, then that explains why I react. If people have the same alllergies/intolerances, or an allergy/intolerance to petroleum/parabeen products, that may be why they are reacting.
Best AnswerIf I find I’m allergic to the band that comes with the Fitbit versa lite can I return it for a new one of different material? Also I bought a second one to have two when I ordered the watch. The second one isn’t open and is it returnable?
