Due to either work or time, what's your preferred time to workout? I like to workout in the morning since I feel fresh and motivated. However, due to work I have to do it in the afternoon. Although, there is nothing compared to watch the sunset while running in the park.
What do you guys think?

I feel most energetic in the early evenings, so I really enjoy working out then. The problem is that I feel so energized afterwards that it interferes with sleep. Usually, I exercise in the afternoon, so I'll have time to relax and be ready to sleep when it's time to go to bed.

@alexthecat I feel the same. Energy favors me in the morning as well. Thank you so much for sharing your feedback and comments.

I prefer mornings, because I tend to get lazy later in the day and make excuses not to workout. However, I already wake up quite early for my dogs and to get ready for work, so I no longer workout in the mornings. I used to get up at 4:45am to get the gym by 5am, but I am not doing that anymore. The older I get, the more I value sleep!
Now I will go in the evenings and trust me, I have to force myself to go. But once I'm there, I feel great!

It depends on circumstances and my daily routine. Now, I don't have time to exercise in the morning and prefer to get good sleep rather than force myself to wake up early. I run (or sometimes cycle if I pack my bike in the morning before I drive to work) during lunchtime (1-2hrs). It became my habit. Other forms of exercise depend really on my schedule. I like to spend evenings in climbing gyms (usually 8pm-11pm), however, now it became more difficult to get there due to changes in my schedule. Short bodyweight workouts I do right after coming back home from work before having dinner (usually evening time). If I think about it, it's not even a matter what my favourite time of day is but when I actually have time to do anything.

My favorite time of day to work out is early in the morning before anyone wakes up. I enjoy the time to myself and it makes me feel like I am a better person for my family because I was able to get my self-care in early.

I always try get a workout in early. If my schedule changes, I've still got the rest of day to work it in, but mostly it is morning by habit and routine. Before the pandemic I would get up at 5 am or so and bike commute to the train station. That and the ride home worked out to about 15-20 miles a day, but it was a killer on my sleep schedule. (I just can't get to bed before 10:30 or so). I'm not sure what my schedule will be when I start commuting again, but I think I'll be able to go in a bit later than I did before and hopefully can manage my sleep AND keep the bike commute.

It looks that we prefer to workout in the mornings. Sometimes our schedules don't permit us to do so but the bright side is that we all look for ways in order to keep working out, no matter the time.

I generally prefer mornings too, but I do enjoy walking in the evening.

@NellyG That's great! I also love walking in the evening when the air is as fresh as in the morning. After the evening walks, I tend to get a shower and I sleep like a baby ha ha ha.

Mine is either at 11 in the morning, or 5 in the evening. I do elliptical, so it lasts about 40-45 minutes.

@DylanPritsker That's awesome! I love doing elliptical as well and the best thing about it, is that those machines are not that expensive and you can workout at home without any trouble.

I agree with @JuanJoFitbit! The elliptical is a great work out. I find it to be a lot easier on my knees than running.

Thank you guys for sharing your favorite workouts and time to do it. It seems that working out in the morning is the favorite time for many of us although our jobs don't permit us to workout in the morning, we find a way to stay active and reach our goals.
