I did this back in 2012. It was one of the memorable trail we did as a family. Construction was on in Vernazza. So the path going there was closed. We did cover the rest in a day. Started from La spezia, beautiful ocean and colorful houses on the shore are pleasant feast to our eyes.

The trail from Monterosso to Riomaggiore is 17 kilometers! It took us about 4 1/2 hours.
