Hey, Peeps. Another month means it's time to sign up for another goals challenge. More about that below, but just a note that if you happen to see this for the first time mid-month, jump on on in; there is no need to wait for another challenge to start next month. See what I did there? "jump right in" , "Jumping June ..." 🙂
How It Works
The primary purpose of these monthly challenges is to encourage you to set and hit your daily step goals for the month; though many of us track other things as well, like body weight exercises, sleep, trips to the gym, logging food, etc. This is not a competition to see who can do the most of whatever, instead it is a challenge to measure your consistency. So whether you do 1k, 5k, 10k or even 40k steps a day, this is measuring how many days out of the monthly total you can hit your goal.
Some might have a constant goal of 10k steps every single day and others might have a variable goal throughout the week, (and some might even plan days off!) for example.
Monday -> Friday = 10k steps a day
Sat & Sun = “6k steps a day,” or “not tracking”
Regardless of how you structure your daily goals, the only thing that matters for the monthly challenge is whether or not you reach what you set out to do.
Suggested Posting Format
1) Post either your constant or variable step goal.
2) Keep track of the # of daily goals achieved out of the monthly minimum and or monthly total

As you may have guessed from the hint in the subject line of this topic, the theme of the photo scavenger hunt this month is to capture something jumping. Or take a picture while YOU are jumping (pro tip, use a fast shutter speed, LOL).
Posting
Although you certainly don’t have to post daily, you’ll likely stay closer to what you set out to do by updating the thread several times/week
Injury Notice
If you injure yourself during the month and need to scale back due to the injury, then all you have to do is adjust your goal for that period. If you normally do 10k steps a day but pull a hamstring and decide to do minimal walking (2k steps a day), then all you have to do is change your goal.

If I had a better camera (i use my phone) I might have got another scavenger hunt pic. There were dolphins out on the bay this morning leaping out of the water, but way too far off to even try for a picture. Lovely to see though!

Hello everyone from @benvegi.
Please let me know what the July challenge is and I will come back in then. We've been very busy since mid April and on into June. This week and next are not much better. We are both fine, just lots of places to go and things to do. From riding 3 full weeks out of 5, 2 birthdays, our Anniversary, putting up hay for the year, teaching woodturning classes, and more...........

I've had a few medical setbacks this week that have hurt my step counts. But rather then adjust my goals I'm going to push the next week to see how close I can get to achieving them! I did hit my yoga goal as I have had such bad neck issues that I have been forced to do at least basic yoga every day to keep my neck from getting stiff.

Have had so much going on, events, etc. I hope to complete all my goals this week, but I see I will be short on step days by at least one. One day I had 11,543 (or so) steps, but was too exhausted to put even one more foot in front of another.
But we did put together a tomato house, which took 2 week rather than an afternoon. It’s not exactly a jumping shot, but it did go up! 😂
