Hey, Peeps. Another month means it's time to sign up for another goals challenge. More about that below, but just a note that if you happen to see this for the first time mid-month, jump on on in; there is no need to wait for another challenge to start next month. See what I did there? "jump right in" , "Jumping June ..." 🙂
How It Works
The primary purpose of these monthly challenges is to encourage you to set and hit your daily step goals for the month; though many of us track other things as well, like body weight exercises, sleep, trips to the gym, logging food, etc. This is not a competition to see who can do the most of whatever, instead it is a challenge to measure your consistency. So whether you do 1k, 5k, 10k or even 40k steps a day, this is measuring how many days out of the monthly total you can hit your goal.
Some might have a constant goal of 10k steps every single day and others might have a variable goal throughout the week, (and some might even plan days off!) for example.
Monday -> Friday = 10k steps a day
Sat & Sun = “6k steps a day,” or “not tracking”
Regardless of how you structure your daily goals, the only thing that matters for the monthly challenge is whether or not you reach what you set out to do.
Suggested Posting Format
1) Post either your constant or variable step goal.
2) Keep track of the # of daily goals achieved out of the monthly minimum and or monthly total
Picture Scavenger Hunt — 3 pictures
As you may have guessed from the hint in the subject line of this topic, the theme of the photo scavenger hunt this month is to capture something jumping. Or take a picture while YOU are jumping (pro tip, use a fast shutter speed, LOL).
Posting
Although you certainly don’t have to post daily, you’ll likely stay closer to what you set out to do by updating the thread several times/week
Injury Notice
If you injure yourself during the month and need to scale back due to the injury, then all you have to do is adjust your goal for that period. If you normally do 10k steps a day but pull a hamstring and decide to do minimal walking (2k steps a day), then all you have to do is change your goal.

Jumping June Goals - Day 29
7,500 Steps A Day - 14/22
10,000 Steps - 1/6
15,000 Steps - 0/2
Peak Heart Rate +30 - 14/20
Cardio Heart Rate +150 - 24/20
Jumping June Trampoline Time 5+ Minutes - 16/20
Yoga - 14/10
Wow, June has been tough! I didn't quite hit my June Jumping goal due some medical issues that didn't allow it. But considering this was a new goal that I had never done before, I'm happy with doing it 16 times (2 more days possible) this month. That means I actually got on my trampoline more days out of the month then I did not, so that is something great I've added to my fitness routine. I've also increased my Yoga, but I still want to increase that some more! I've done pretty good with increasing my cardio goals, which I'm sure has to do with the added trampoline time! Now I'm trying to figure out some good goals for July. I have some family things going on in July which will effect my ability to get steps in. So I'm going to try to come up with some unusual goals that will add more fun with exercises. Stay tuned!
Cam chasing balls in the river!
Great fun for both of us!
Cam jumps thru the water till he runs out of land and moves to swim mode. He loves playing ball in water where he can stay cool and it's good for his aging joints. We both love it, so I don't know why we don't do it more often. (I see a July goal coming on!)

Train w/weights: 13/15 days

Didn’t realize I hadn’t posted in a few days. The past two week were extremely busy and this past week Switzerland has experienced a ‘schrecklich’ heat wave. Without AC, it’s been pretty tricky to get anything done. I was soaked from perspiration several times some days and at least twice every day. Whatcha gonna do?
Anyway, I’m also not going to reach my goals either, @BMANintheUP. We do the best we can and life goes on. 😊

@Jotex Yes, we do our best. I didn't alter my goals with all the medical issues because for the most part, I could have still hit my goals if I was more dedicated. But I'm not going to beat myself up over missing the goals. I'm just trying to figure out what I can do to make myself try harder to stick to my goals. I'm trying to find some smart goals for July to help!
I'm open to suggestions if anyone has anything fun!
I know I'm going to add some dog training goals. I do this every day, but I need to step it up. I have been focusing alot on training my 1 yr old pup. So when I'm home, I train all 3 but I tend to go out with just the pup. The other dogs need to practice their people skills too and also need some 1 on 1 time with me. So that is going to be part of my July goals. But I also have a daughter expecting her first baby this month and a son graduating from Basic Training. So right now my whole month is unpredictable!

Agree with @WendyB - our participation here is to achieve individual fitness goals. Nothing more.

Jumping June - Day 30
Well, the above stats are it for me for the month of June. Yesterday we were invited to an afternoon garden party about an hour's drive away from here, so only got home early evening. Between the heat wave, needing to water all the plants, and (if I'm honest) having had perhaps a little too much prosecco at the party, I couldn't make myself go on the treadmill. At the end of the day, though, I don't think I did too poorly on meeting my goals in June. My average stepcount for June was 10,869.
{APOLOGIES FOR THE TWO EDITS!!!}
