Updating automatic fitness tracking

When I put one of my DVD's in to do I want to track it so I push my button on my fitbit when I start and when I stop. It logs it as a workout but I can't update the name of the workout to the DVD I am doing. I saved all my DVD workouts in my Favorites but it seems the only way I can have that show is if I do the workout and then manually log but then it doesn't give me all the stats. I want to use the stats that it autimatically does and just change the name to the specific workout. Make sense? Help please!

@ShelliShane I have not been able to figure out or locate a way on the forum to change the name of a logged workout and keep the associated steps and information intact, so I just leave the generic name in the log.

Bummer because I like to see which ones I burn more calories on and if I work harder one day than the other on a workout. I hope they change this. I would think it would be easy to just edit the name or personalize the workout you just did without entering the whole workout again and losing data. Thanks!

You should be able to do this.  Go to the main activity view, the page with a list.

Next to where it says 'Workout' is a pencil icon.  (I added a red circle where the pencil will be, see below)

Click that, and enter the activity name.

After it searches and fails to find it you can  create a custom activity.

Make sure you get it right first time, since you don't appear to have the option to edit again!

When you're looking at a timed activity on your Activity Log, hover your mouse over that record and you will see shadow icons appear to the right of it. Click on the pencil icon to edit the record and rename the activity to whatever you like. You will not lose any of the metrics calculated by your tracker.
