What is the most amount of steps anyone has ever walked in a single day?

I am just curious about the most steps walked in a single day. I have 45,000, and it was tough getting that badge.

Today was my first 30,000+ day.  I am hope to get 35,000 when we visit Glacier NP in a couple weeks.

Congrats!  I will get there one of these years.  I just cleared 70,000 on June 25.  I do  a birthday challenge every year to get 1k steps per year of my age, but try to push it as far as I can.   I'm 45 this year and I did 57,500 steps largely without a break starting at 3am to avoid the 90 degree forecast.  I did the rest later in the day,    100k is certainly doable, but is an ~18 hour commitment.

@Mmiller2827 - My best is a tad over 152,000, second most steps in a day was 145,000. And I've done over 100,000 in a single day a total of 17 times. I'm an Ultrarunner so all except one of those were achieved during super long races, including 4 straight days over 100k during a 200 mile race I did last year. There are most likely other ultrarunners who can do, or have done, more steps in a day but they may not use FitBit so it's hard to say. My FitBit profile shows my best as 145,000, not the 152,000, only because I think their algorythm probably just doesn't account for anyone doing more than 150,000 in a day. Some day I'll see if I can do more than my best but that requires starting right at midnight and going until midnight the following night!

I don’t run marathons and steps are not my primary goal, zone minutes are. My daily average is 8k, though it varies by season … snow and cold limit how much I walk. When on vacation I easily exceed 25k to 30k per day.
