What's the one song that motivates you?

I have that one song. You have that one song. We all have that one song. Some people have more than one song (that's okay!). What is the one song that gets you fired up?

For me, if I'm diggin' some alternative, it's Sleigh Bells' "Infinity Guitars." If I need to hear some nice hip-hop to get my workout going, my go-to is Kanye West's "Power."  If I need some EDM in my life, I go with this amended version of Lana Del Ray's "Summertime Sadness." As far as song in movies go, John William's composition of "Battle of the Heroes" does it for me!

As a bonus, my good friend @GraceFitbit reminded me how good the year 2005 was, and went with Beyoncé's Crazy In Love .

Above all else, there is the one song that gets me ready to work hard and reach for the improbable. It is one of the most popular songs in the history of the world, and universally one of the most motivating. I am speaking, of course of Ludwig Van Beethoven's "5th Symphony in C Minor."

Now that you have an idea of what songs get our blood ready to flow and our hearts ready to race, we have to know- what song motivates you?

I don't think there is such a thing as any "one" song that gets me going. I have a bit of an extensive playlist ranging from T.U.R.T.L.E. Power (Yes, old school here) to Scott and Brendo's Jump. I also play a bit of Lindsey Stirling while in the gym.

For me, it's about any song that gets me moving - even if it's at my desk. A quick beat and a complex melody is what gets my feet moving in most cases. I also have an affinity towards movie themes. And yes, Mozart can get the blood flowing with some Dies Irae - although I envision Night Crawler's assault on the White House in X2. 🙂

Hello @SolangeE

Yeah, Crystallize is one of my favorites too. Another one I like is the Phantom of the Opera medley.

I got to see Lindsey Stirling at Redrocks this past year - and it was amazing. This was before I got my Fitbit - which would have been amazing for steps when climbing up and down the mountain side for the concert. Smiley Very Happy

Another song that has been stuck in my head lately is Knock the Dominoes...

Me too- Megadeth "Rist in Peace" album- Maiden is good, as is Pantera, System of a Down, Rage Against the Machine.

But I can veer to funk and even pop at times. Sometimes Depeche Mode when I'm "broody", LOL!

I think that when you are in the gym or doing anything that is going to require you to push yourself hard then you have to get into the zone, i find that having good long playing trance or Techno helps me to acheive this. Usually i wouldn't listen to this but i do think that it works for strenuous exercise

Sandstorm (Darude)

Insomnia (Faithless)

Hindsight (Audien)

Digeridoo (Aphex Twin)

Intense (Armin Van Buuren)

Good ones,@Chaste! I think my workout song for them would be the loco-motion!

Hey, those are some great bands, @MikiSpeed! And yeah, depending on the mood you tend to listen to different type of music and it is really nice to have a little bit of everything in your playlist. I like to do squats with this songSmiley LOL Heart

@Timax56, yes this songs motive me too,  when I'm doing cardio!

@lablover55, Pink is awesome! And her body, inspires me to be like that some day!

@Blackdevil, great playlists for running indeed, specially Burial!

@Tala, good ones! It's a shame that Marron 5 and Black Eyed Peas are not the same as they were before. I liked them better like 10 years ago, specially Where Is The Love. Isn't it a great song?

@Brittsbit, great beats for running fast! I personally like this one for running or cardio. Makes me feel relaxed but focused.
