So let me explain, I’m a big guy I went through a hard time after losing family members and gained a lot of weight. I’m 6’2 and was 352 lbs, about 6 weeks ago I finally felt the turnover point and began a journey to improving my health and I’m a motivated person now 6 weeks later I am 316 lbs. At first I went a little too strict and was consuming around 1,800 calories a day And I had begun a new excercise regime of speed walking 6-8km a day and doing weight training three days, on the average day my Fitbit has me burning between 5,000-6,500 calories so after my first three weeks I began getting bad cramps and headaches so after discussing with my cousin who is into a healthy lifestyle And pretty well educated on dieting I upped my daily too 2,500 calories and the headaches went away but the cramps Have remained and intensified. Now my question is, based on my Fitbit I’m having a daily deficit of 2,500-3,500 calories is that too much and why I’m having the abdominal pains?

Most likely from overwork

You need to check with your Dr. It could not even be diet related but something else

@Dbourke I am with Wendy. There is a difference between muscle cramp from working a muscle and stomach cramps. it could be that you are gassy because you are eating more fiber, it could be that you don't finish "going" because of food changes, it could be that something in your diet is irritating your stomach. It could be something completely unrelated. You should get a scope or at least talk to your doctor to make sure it is nothing more than too much fiber or gluten or any number of things that can irritate a belly.

Hi everyone, quick update so it turns out it was due to too high of a fiber intake. The average male is supposed to consume 14g of fiber per 1000 calories consumed up to a suggested maximum of 38g a day. I started eating these candies called Smart Sweets to help with sweets cravings as they taste great and are great for you and given a 50g bag has only 3g of sugar and are made from natural fruit and vegetable extracts but contain 28g of fiber per bag, which I was having one everyday on top of all the natural fiber I was getting through Vega protein shakes and natural vegetables And grains. Given I only consume about 2,500 calories it was building up and fermenting in my stomach causing gas, bloating and runs and eventually led to severe stomach cramps.

I looked up the ingredients. A lot of these low fat foods contain chicory root fibre.
This has caused problems in many people. I make sure to look at the ingredients before I buy any of this stuff as it caused problems for me.
Its probably what is bothering you as well
Edit here is an article on it as well

The number of calories you burn each day, which is known as energy or calorie expenditure, is a bit more complicated.
Calorie expenditure is composed of the following three major components (1Trusted Source):
-Resting metabolic rate (RMR). This is the number of calories your body needs to maintain normal bodily functions, such as breathing and pumping blood.
-Thermic effect of food (TEF). This refers to the calories used to digest, absorb, and metabolize food.
-Thermic effect of activity (TEA). These are the calories you use during exercise. TEA can also include non-exercise activity thermogenesis (NEAT), which accounts for the calories used for activities like yard work and fidgeting.
If the number of calories you consume equals the number of calories you burn, you maintain your body weight.
If you want to lose weight, you must create a negative calorie balance by consuming fewer calories than you burn or burning more calories through increased activity.
