How do I disable the auto start / exercise recognition function? I need actual steps to follow as the manual is not helpful. It is very annoying when my inspire 3 tracker tries to auto track it. I like to do tracking on my own terms. If I walk down the block I suddenly get a nudge to see if want to stop or finish the exercise when I did not start it in the first place! Please help!

Same here, I’ve turned auto detection off but it still keeps starting workouts even for short walks, super annoying! Never had this problem before, it started this week.

Ok I solved my problem, you have to make the changes directly on your tracker (annoying, I know) but this solved the problem :
From the home screen on your tracker, swipe right, click on each of the exercises (i.e.: walk), scroll down, disable auto start and auto stop. You need to do this on each exercise type you have in your inspire 3.
Hope this helps! It solved the problem for me.

@Zirqon Fitbit added a feature with a recent firmware update. It will open the Exercise app for six shortcuts: walk, run, bike, elliptical, rowing, and spinning. This is different from the auto-detection (SmartTrack) that you shut off.
This feature can misidentify activity and a common one is swimming. I recommend toggling this feature off in all six shortcuts if you don't want it to turn on by itself.
