Does the charging screen show up on the Inspire 3 display when it is plugged into the charging cradle, or does it just continue to display the clock face?

Well that was weird. I squeeze the sides. It told me it had a low battery and started charging.

Sounds like you're good to go, for now.  It might be a good idea to let it charge to 100% before trying to use it again.
