I bought a new Fitbit Inspire HR when I sadly lost my old Flex 2 about 2 weeks ago. The new tracker is ok, but the charger cord is wayyyy too short and the stupid magnet which is supposed to secure the tracker to charger isn't strong enough to hold the two in place if you are hanging the charger from an outlet. And if you plug it into an extension cord or something on the floor, it isn't long enough there either. You have to find some weird way to brace the two pieces so the weight of the Inspire watch doesn't pull it off the charger. Crappy system!

This is a perfect example of fixing something that is not broken. The new “design” of the inspire charger fails both form and function.

I agree. And while buying this on sale made the purchase more affordable, my savings are now eaten up with the purchase of a new cord. Fix the design.

I bought an INSPIRE recently & couldn’t believe the charge cord! I see that the problem was reported way back but Fitbit didn’t address the issue. What were they thinking?? It is the worst ever! The suggestion to buy another charger just doesn’t cut it! I am so mad! I would return it but am travelling.

I had the same problem. I could not charge my inspire hr at all, the charger and bit would not connect, after days of trying to find an answer I called customer service and they sent me a new one for free . And this one worked perfectly. Then I had problems with the Fitbit itself but that's another story 😳again after days of trying to figure out how to fix it I again called customer service and once again the said the will sent me a replacement and 2 days later it was delivered to my door! I have to say I was impressed by their service and now I hope I won't be have anymore problems with the new one, so far so good 👍

i agree. stupidest setup i've ever seen. anyhow i am lucky as the usb port is at the top of the CPU and i can just lay it on the cpu. however if the port was any further down i wouldn't be able to do it. and no i shouldn't have to buy a new charger or cord.

i ordered two new chargers yesterday and hope they work. should not have to do that but i wanted more functions on my device but have super small wrists and the watches just to bulky.....my first inclination was to switch to another brand of tracker...and still might do that.

I totally agree with you. The charge lead is a complete joke and complete waste of time. Come on Fitbit get a grip and sort it.

We have no Amazon in New Zealand, but why should we have to buy an extra part in order to make something usable! This is clearly not fit for purpose, I am in total disbelief that this could ever have been released on the market as is.... Come on fitbit, supply all HR users with a working charger!

That's terrible customer service and they pride themselves on great customer service! I have written to them too, if I get no joy I will ask for a refund as I haven't been able to charge mine yet, it falls off even on a flat surface.

I have so many of the same problems with this charger!! Even when it's plugged in and on a flat surface and appears to be charging... I check back later and find that it's not. My whole day's schedule has been rearranged on several occasions due to the lack of effectiveness of this cord. Seriously Fitbit. The design is terrible. You can do better.

i lay it on tis side have not had a problem with it falling off. i plug it into cpu and on its side on top of the cpu. i have problems if i put it on the floor for some reason. but everyone is right, it is horrible . and i hate that the bands are so hard to get on and off. i bought a clip for pocket but it only measures steps then, not ht e heart rate i can put exercise in.

I have mentioned it several times to them and requested they check the community. As with all tech support they tend to deny that anyone else has ever complained and it is a complete surprise that their design is crap! So please anyone who has this issue please contact them directly using their support email, https://contact.fitbit.com 😉

how can you put exercise in? i have to use the exercise setting and sometimes forget to "finish" or forget to start it....i thought it auto detected exercise which is why i bought it.

Ditto to the absurdity and poor functionality of the short charging cord.
Do not know why the “best answer” is considered as such. The longer cords from Amazon, as many have reported, have such weak magnets, they do not offer a functional alternative.
Curious to know if anyone has found a brand with better magnet? Or some other working solution?
Why would Fitbit create such a ridiculous charger??
