I have tried the Update with my android phone(huawei p20), my apple phone (iphone 5s) and my computer, all each time having the same thing happen, the watch seems to be flashing the fitbit icon. I've factory reset each time, i've tried to reset, and i've also uninstalled and reinstalled the app, as well as forgotten the watch and unpaired it each time and still have the same issue. hard to believe that a company would force and update that would brick my watch, worst thing is i believe that my watch is now out of warrenty. terrible that i would have to pay for a new watch when the manufacture is the one that bricked it.

Have you setup the ionic since the Factory reset which will remove it from your Fitbit account?

I'm not sure if your using the Android or the iOS phone.
However make sure only one of these phones are turned on when trying to setup the ionic, of it still needs to be setup.

My wife's new Fitbit Ionic is doing the same thing...repeatedly flashing the Fitbit icon on the watch face but not completing the power up.
Very disappointed Fitibt customer here. If this isn't corrected by tomorrow (Jan 6), it's going back to BestBuy for a refund so she can purchase an Apple Watch.

@Longwalker265 after contacting customer service, what was there response. I'm surprised that they did not offer any solution.
