After an update from Fitbit the range of Bluetooth is complete rubbish. I now don’t receive any notifications at all when I used to and my distance has not changed. But the Bluetooth range has clearly changed due to an update. Not happy, my watch doesn’t work and sick of nobody admitting it. My watch was not only bought for fitness but also to keep in communication with family for potential emergencies (which this watch says it does). After only having it a year I don’t think it’s on after spending £250 on it.
My watch does NOTHING during the hours I’m at work.....check my phone and countless messages and calls.
I know it’s down to an update because it used to work absolutely fine.
NOT HAPPY!

A warm welcome to the Community @Rebekah91! Thank you so much for the time that you took to let us know about the situation that you're experiencing.
It's pretty weird that you're not receiving notifications anymore. I would like you to try the procedure that's mentioned here such as force quit the app, reset Bluetooth, restart your Ionic, refresh notifications and set them up again.
The Bluetooth range hasn't changed with any update. You can learn more about it by checking How do Fitbit devices sync their data?.
Thank you for flagging it @DramaQueenDiva.
Let me know how it goes.

@SilviaFitbit thank you for your suggestions. I turned off notifications like you said and today I randomly received a few messages. I will keep an eye as I’m not convinced it’s fully fixed but I will certainly try your other suggestions! I don’t see why customer support were so useless and kept just saying they identified a problem and would get back to me...
thanks again for your time and understanding.

@SilviaFitbit I do really appreciate that but still annoying as I can’t figure out what changed after I did an update that I don’t receive messages that I once did.
After saying it now works, it has been receiving messages sporadically so I will have to try other suggestions you said. Don’t know why it has happened after it used to work perfectly with no complaints. Will keep you posted.
Thank you for your continuous support.

Thank you for getting back @Rebekah91! The Bluetooth range didn't change with the latest update. It should be exactly the same and the notifications should work normally. You can always double check what's changed in the latest Fitbit OS Update here.
Hope this helps! I'll be around if you need further assisting.

@SilviaFitbit Thanks for confirming that nothing has changed on the last update which is reassuring.
The one thing that bugs me the most is that I used to get the whole of my text preview on my watch so I could read it. Now I only get about 4 words and dots (...) and when I click it nothing happens so I can’t read it anyway.
Just wondered if that issue had any solutions?
Thanks again,
Rebekah
