Bug: Third Party Messaging Apps - Incorrect Icon

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Ionic 27.30.3.2

iOS 11.0.1

I use Wire and a few other third party messaging apps. When notifications from Wire display on my Ionic, the corresponding icon is the default iOS iMessage app icon, not the Wire icon. On the Blaze, the correct icon would display for Wire notifications, and the notifications themselves would mimic what the banner notifications that display in iOS.

Is this known? Is there a better place to log bugs?

Hey there @TunaFin, it's great to see you here in the forums!  Hmmm... this sounds strange, huh? Have you tried restarting your Ionic

Since your Ionic can receive app notifications make sure you can receive app notifications on your phone. For example, you can receive Facebook notifications on your Fitbit device, but only if you also receive them on your phone. Find the notifications permissions under Settings > Notifications and use the same settings you used for Messages.

Also, as Ionic can receive notifications from other apps on your phone, tap App Notifications and make your choices. If an installed app is missing from the list, sync your device and then check again.

Hope this helps, keep me updated!
