Can’t get the map from Interval workout

I did a run today (intervals) which recorded perfectly on my ionic, using GPS. When I synced with the app the map would not show, although I can see it on the desktop dashboard. All I get is the spinning circle. It also hasn’t uploaded to strava, even though previous runs have. Scrolling down previous runs with maps have also turned into spinning circles. I am using the app on my iphone. I have tried all the obvious turning things on and off, deleting and installing the app again, checked I have latest iOS and app version. Any ideas anyone?

Can we have a Moderator acknowledge (with App Support) that this is STILL being looked into, and ideally an ETA for a fix? At least a BETA release that some of us can test? Is there anybody left at Fitbit doing app development? I've been waiting for "Ionic 2 news" but now am thinking about a Garmin...

Yes, I have already decided after this one expires, no more fitbits for me, which is a shame as I have had various ones over the years. Friends with other run trackers don’t have this problem. The intervals could be a great asset if someone could be bothered to get the app sorted.

This is not just iOS problem, I have the exact same issue on my Android phone today

INTERVAL WORKOUT

 12:34 PM, Saturday August 17, 2019

All the data (including GPS) is showing perfectly fine on my Dashboard and on my Phone, but I'm not allowed to download the TCX and it's not sync'ing to Strava as all my Runs/Walks do without issue.

I honestly can't believe this has been a known issue for a year and still not fixed. It's literally got the same data as a Run/Walk - it should take a developer no time at all to fix this 😞

Any updates on a fix yet?  Kinda annoying to not have GPS for the interval training.

2019 is about to end, any solution to this known issue yet?

Just done an interval workout on my Ionic with the GPS enabled.  The workout displays with map data on the app on Android, IOS and logged into the website.  The data hasn't synced to Strava so I thought I'd export as a tcx from the website as I have in the past for 'Runs' but get the error 'The activity TCX file could not be downloaded. We are looking into the issue.'  If I export the tcx file from the IOS app it downloads the file but only contains 'validation - logId - Could not convert activity log 1.1 to TCX'.  It should contain xml data but doesn't for Interval Workouts.  Had this watch for nearly a year but only just realised this exercise mode exists and was impressed until I've found it won't sync the data to Strava and doesn't have any exportable data.  This is very poor from Fitbit and they can't even blame Strava as the data isn't available to export from their platform.  At the very least this needs to be manually exportable, it's not been fixed in this long so doubt they are even looking at it.  Please sort it out Fitbit or my next watch and lots of others won't be one of yours.

Quick update: This problem is still not resolved. Such a shame for the company.

Seriously disappointed that you still have not fixed this. It's not just interval workouts either. You offer TCX export for all types of workouts, but for anything other than RUN/WALK they are literally empty shells that can't be used for **ahem**. The non-GPS workouts should also at the very least have heartrate data in them.

Adding all the syncing and system update issues (took me literally a week of hard resetting both my phone and Fitbit about a 100 times before your latest system update finally managed to install...), and I'm pretty sure this is the last Fitbit I'm buying.

Add me to the list of this!! trying to do the same on my versa.

I went and did what I said in my last post. Wearing a Garmin Forerunner 245 instead now. Really sucks, cause I've loved Fitbit, but this and a few other issues (mainly the complete and utter lack of responses to issues on here from any Fitbit staff - feeling like Fitbit are just floating on their good reputation and not giving a **ahem** any more tbh) made me go a different route. So far I'm not missing anything (although it took a day or two to get used to the interfaces) - also my interval GPS and just normal non-GPS workouts are uploading to Strava within seconds of finishing them. So I'm happy.

Really hope Google give Fitbit a proper kick in the butt when they come in properly. Wouldn't take a lot to get me back anyways, but not for the next couple of years.

So, my original Versa battery decided to bite the dust. I had purchased a product replacement warranty from Best Buy and walked out with a Versa 2. I did an interval workout today with GPS and the map showed up. Not sure if it’s fixed or the newer products just work better. Of course Best Buy no longer offers extended warranties on fitbit. Wish they’d design products to last longer than 2 years!

I also have this issue.

I can see the map and the data.  But I cannot make a TCX file so that I can send to Strava.  I love my Ionic and this would be great to have.

I too am having issues downloading interval exercises from my Fitbit (ionic) to Strava.
