My son has given me his (unused in the box) Ionic. I charged it up last evening and tried unsuccessfully to set it up, and again today. I have followed the instructions from the app (many times now) and switched bluetooth on and off, rebooted my device and all I get on the ionic is the Fitbit logo. This is driving me bananas now as these products are expensive! What can I do after toggling bluetooth off, ensuring my other bluetooth connections are off, been unable to switch phone to show any other than the Fitbit logo. It says it is finding the connection then tells me something went wrong. Over and over again.........Help!

@Superdooper being that it was unused in the box, you don't know if it was ever fully functional, however, I've had great success resurrecting Ionics that people believed to be unusable. unsure why you're toggling Bluetooth, it's best to disable it, then let Fitbit reenable it, this fixes many problems. are you saying the Ionic itself is only showing the Fitbit logo? If so, it's never fully booted and therefore unable to pair. you should try resetting it by holding the left and right buttons for ~30 seconds until rebooting.

@Superdooper that's fantastic! Sometimes they just need a little nudging. It's strange how many Ionics I've slightly readjusted the cable on or used a different cable, or cleaned the contacts with 99% isopropyl, then waited and they 'magically' woke. Recently, someone was selling 15 in-the-box Ionics on eBay for $75, supposedly all dead, I figured it was worth the gamble. So far, more than half of them are functioning perfectly I've been wearing one of them for over a week. Happy stepping!

YW @LiliyaFitbit I'm a big fan of Fitbitting and love sharing tips and tricks that may benefit others. Friends consider me a bit of a "Fitbit Whisperer" as I've had better luck than most keeping them rocking!
Regarding the discussions board, they're great to participate in, however, I really miss the community groups y'all used to have. There were groups for every possible subculture, from geographic to common issues (idiopathic hypersomnia, epilepsy, etc.) that were incredible to collaborate in. I have great friendships dating back years resulting from them. Some groups reformed on Facebook when Fitbit ended them, and many people have even gotten together to walk, run, swim, and bike ride together in person 🙂
The challenges that still exist are wonderfully encouraging and I've seen friends go from the couch to running 5k's and even ultra-marathons. Fitbit has done wonderfully in creating these fun communities! 😎

Hi Williger
Problem is there are 2 buttons on the RHS...
I could not get mine to sync with my Android tablet (had no dramas for months), so finally decided to do a factory reset. BIG mistake. Now I only get the logo (sometimes white, sometimes blue) and the scrolling multi-language "download Fitbit" . Have downloaded Fitbit app onto my Windows 10 computer, and it does sync, but that is all. I have tried holding all combinations of teh 3 buttons. Can't get it to load. The other strange thing, is that on the computer, there is the row of icons - clocks, apps, etc, but if I go into clocks (for instance, as I figured maybe the problem is it has no clock at all now, not even a default one), the computer just hangs and will not load one. I am seriously pissed off with Fitbit, i have to say. (Wish I had kept the Samsung watch...)
